Patterson is the WR version of Christine Michael. Some might say they have learning difficulties. Flashes of brilliance followed by a really dumb mistake.

Got Wallace for a 5th and 7th....

To clarify, Dolphins got the 5th for Wallace and a 7th. Good trade for Dolphins imo. Saved 3.85m against the cap while taking on a dead hit of 6m, but Wallace is goona take a 11.5m cap hit next year. That's absolutely insane since his pay doesn't match his production. Would've been a cap casualty next year, if he wasn't traded imo. Getting rid of his contract was worth it.

Vikings have to decide if he's worth 11.5m of cap space to them next year. And even when he was on the Dolphins, dude wasn't inclined to take a large pay cut. Wouldn't be surprised if he's just a one year rental since it doesn't appear Wallace is interested in taking a decently relevant pay cut. Could also restructure his his base salary into signing bonus, but you're only prolonging the inevitable since he has 3yrs left on that contract and it sounds he doesn't want to stay in MIN for an extension to prorate the cap hits further.
