The Saints have said that everyone but Drew Brees and Brandon Cooks are available.

Saints are posturing for a top 5 draft pick next year.

Time to draft Brees' replacement.

Why else would they be hosting a fire sale besides getting younger and dropping salary and adding cap space?

Supposedly blowing up the offense is necessary to fix the defense. lol

Good job by Miami.... but I wonder if this makes Mike Wallace available? :?:
Hmm good thought. I don't think Seattle is looking to pay what Wallace would want but something to keep an eye on.

Dolphins got ripped off in this trade IMO. We fill another weakness on defense and get their 3rd while Brees succeeds with nearly any WR.

Saints aren't rebuilding. They are committing to the run game and defense. Brees is getting up there with age so it looks like they are trying for a more balance offense.

In other words, they're rebuilding.

It's like a marathon runner, tying to become a bodybuilder...when they don't know the first thing about it. They just know what it looks like. This is gonna be a fun year watching all the Aints fans jump off bridges.

I wonder how many pick sixes to lose games both of those guys threw? None...hmmm. Maybe they weren't the problem.

It worked for Indy.

Who's shaping up to be the top QB's in next year's drafts, and is it worth it to tank for them ?

I said back before the 2013 draft that Stills was Golden Tate with a late round pricetag. I've always liked him. He's had a nice start to his career, though I am surprised the Saints got so much coming back in a trade. Hopefully after all the dust settles the Hawks end up with Mike Wallace on a reasonable deal. Wallace is gone for sure now.

The Saints have put themselves in position to build through the draft, not to blow the team up. I like the offseason Loomis is having so far. If they draft a few good weapons and load up on young defensive players they will have made their roster younger, cheaper, and possibly better.

These moves by Loomis remind me a lot of the wheeling and dealing PC/JS did in 2010 and 2011. People thought PC/JS were crazy, but they had a plan. I definitely get the sense that Loomis has a plan here.

When the line doesn't provide enough protection and WR's not getting separation, that can lead to erratic QB play and game-killing turnovers.
