Something tells me that the Patriots will be fine. They always seem to find a way to fill the vacancies that FA leave. Next man up. That list by Yates looks solid to me.

Yes, the Patriots will be fine. That's why they went out and acquired Browner and Revis last year to start. Because their CBs were fine. I forgot they acquired those guys for no reason.

Possibly serviceable, but definitely nothing compared to the 2014 starting CB's of Revis & Browner.

All I am is saying is that history is on Belichick's side. He has a proven track record of overcoming these "big name" departures. It will make the secondary weaker, still solid though, but they will be improved in other ways with the money saved. It is a benefit of following a team that has an organizational plan, you can always trust that they will find a way to build a solid team and be competing for a championship every year. Seattle is in the same boat and it is a good boat to be in.

You actually beat me to it, but I'd imagine you're pretty numb to bigger names leaving by now. You'd think people would stop going "man, that Bellichick, what's he doing?" by now. They're in the playoffs every freaking year, and half the time in the AFCC game.

I honestly can't believe he let both Browner and Revis go. Browner wasn't all that much, and he's still good.

This is nothing but a good thing for Seahawks IMO!

The only way this helps the Hawks is if both teams make the SB. If that happens I think both teams will be strong and worthy foes. I still trying to understand the Graham trade and if that is good or bad. I guess time will tell. I trust JS as much as anyone but I have never thought of Graham as fitting the Seahawk mold.

FIFY

From my perspective - we got a difference maker in the offensive game plan and NE just lost TWO corners

Yeah it is good especially since Revis goes to a non-contender

We've been debating the same thing since it went down.

If I were a Pats fan I wouldn't be happy right now. Yes, they're always in the playoffs, and if that's all you aspire to then great - but this time they found the right chemistry and were finally able to break through and win a Super Bowl. It just seems to me that when you find something that works, you try to preserve it.

Did you see the contract numbers? At some point the cost (so much guaranteed $) is more detrimental to the team than retaining the player. They will get a comp pick and maybe some compensation (wishful thinking?) for blatant tampering by the Jets owner in the middle of the playoffs. Trust me if you were a Pats fan and are not happy then you would have missed the last 30 seconds of the SB. The Pats will be fine. The Hawks will be fine. Because both teams have a great coach and a strong young nucleus.
