Shocker. They will get a slap on the wrist (because they were a legacy team)....
They will pay a $100,000 fine and Rog will tell them he'll get real mad and give them a dirty look if they pull this again.....

Thank gawd they didn't threaten to wear gold cleats though, there isn't a worse crime than that!

Knowing something the other team doesn't can be an advantage. Don't try to pretend otherwise.

If this is true, the Pats would not be at fault. Read the rulebook: http://static.nfl.com/static/content/pu ... 3_Ball.pdf

IMPOSSIBLE to sneak in 30+ deflated balls past the officials.

Also, both teams would have been playing under the same conditions. Would not have been an advantage.

Non issue.

Except that the allegation is that they deflated the balls during the game after the pregame check by officials. This allegedly prompted a ref to remove one of the balls during the game for weighing. Who knows how it will turn out, but if it's true, it is absolutely cheating.

If true, ban Bill from the SB and all team activities until 2016. Hell, they did it to Sean Payton for less evidence.

Each team uses their own footballs, so it WOULD be an advantage on a cold night for the team using deflated footballs. Indy was using balls that were properly inflated, which are harder to catch when cold.

Nothing to see here.

No way in hell the NFL does anything about this. A team cheated and is in the super bowl? That would be a massive hit to the NFL.

Not surprised if this is true. Though, if they get caught, do we play the Colts then? Or does the NFL sweep this under the rug just like they destroyed the Spy tapes?

The rules:
Ball
The home club shall have 36 balls for outdoor games and 24 for indoor games available for testing with a pressure gauge by the referee two hours prior to the starting time of the game to meet with League requirements. Twelve (12) new footballs, sealed in a special box and shipped by the manufacturer, will be opened in the officials’ locker room two hours prior to the starting time of the game. These balls are to be specially marked with the letter "k" and used exclusively for the kicking game.

If this is true, wouldn't Luck have had better luck throwing the ball as well?

There's no way this would have affected the outcome of the AFCCG, but if it's true, hell of a cheap tactic and it pretty much confirms the nickname "Belicheat" for everyone forevermore.

Extremely questionable tactics in back to back games.... If they did find a way to upset the Seahawks would it be deserved considering how they got there.... If it is true, and they have had to pull those tactics it shows the lack of belief they have in themselves and would certainly seal my hate for them.

( I am rooting for the Seahawks) I just wonder what the general consensus would be

Comment I saw more or less said that it wouldn't have changed the outcome but may have effected the score. Patriots still majorly out played the Colts. Still sickening that they would do it.

Interesting. They scored again with the unbalanced tackle eligible formation too.
