Everyone in the Bay knew this is what was going on, but it was never really reported on or talked about publicly.

Always liked the guy and was sad to see him go.

Yeah...the alcohol and divorce were widely accepted as the reason he left, but there was never really a concrete report to officially state that was the issue.

Very talented guy, he helped the niners and the Seahawks a lot.

Curious who he consults for now.

Not to be a gossip hound, and I understand why he'd leave it out of the narrative, but he did skip over what caused the dissolution in his marriage which sent him down the hole to begin with. He's a very good talent evaluator, but in his personal live he's definitely made his mistakes beyond just drinking.

Seeing how he was drinking throughout the interviews it doesn't seem that way.
