  • For those that are predicting 10-6 (or better) as well as 2nd in the division, who do you have winning the division and have you looked at their schedule? I am pretty confident in saying if we go 10-6 we will win the NFCW with no problem.

San Francisco goes 11-5 because they are due a slight dropoff but the talent is there to match their previous record. Like we made Kansas City and Oakland look silly they did the very same to San Diego.
43-8...it's all about that action boss....

  • 1 Sun, Sep 9 @ Arizona Cardinals - W. Better quarterbacking wins the day.
2 Sun, Sep 16 vs Dallas Cowboys - W. Low-scoring defensive game, win goes to slight homefield advantage.
3 Mon, Sep 24 vs Green Bay Packers - L. Seattle's young pass defense gets its strongest trial by fire yet.
4 Sun, Sep 30 @ St. Louis Rams - W. Until they show some offense, I'm not convinced.
5 Sun, Oct 7 @ Carolina Panthers - L. Tough road game against a rising team, possibly a shootout. No shame in losing to the 2012 Panthers.
6 Sun, Oct 14 vs New England Patriots - L. Good test of our anti-TE secondary.
7 Thu, Oct 18 @ San Francisco 49ers - L. They're still gonna have something. Comes down to the fourth quarter.
8 Sun, Oct 28 @ Detroit Lions - L. Pass protection is sorely tested as Seattle struggles through a midseason slump.
9 Sun, Nov 4 vs Minnesota Vikings - W. Our defense rebounds against Ponder, making the board even happier that we aren't stuck with a weak-armed QB.
10 Sun, Nov 11 vs New York Jets - W. The Jets continue in their QB controversy. The Seahawks continue getting better.
    11 Bye
12 Sun, Nov 25 @ Miami Dolphins - W. More fodder for the Legion of Boom. Miami's defense should challenge, though.
13 Sun, Dec 2 @ Chicago Bears - L. They badly need a successful reload of young talent, but my gut says a close loss.
    14 Sun, Dec 9 vs Arizona Cardinals - W.
15 Sun, Dec 16 @ Buffalo Bills - W. The idea of selling this game as "T-Jack's revenge" occurs to nobody. Better offense wins.
16 Sun, Dec 23 vs San Francisco 49ers - W. 49ers are in the midst of a wholesale slump by this point, ceding playoff ground to the Seahawks.
17 Sun, Dec 30 vs St. Louis Rams - W.

    FINAL RECORD: 10-6
PLACE IN DIVISION: Tied for first with SF.

Six of our last eight games are very winnable, and we get the Jets at home. Pete "finish strong" Carroll might really enjoy this season. Surprised by how optimistic I'm feeling.

We open up with a tough early schedule but will finish the season strong heading into the playoffs with some momentum.

Oh and I like our chances against Detroit better than most. With 10 days to prepare, I think that gives us an advantage.

  • 1 Sun, Sep 9 @ Arizona Cardinals W - The QB controversy is too much for Arizona and both Kolb and Skelton play to poor effect
2 Sun, Sep 16 vs Dallas Cowboys W - Crowd is really into this game and it's too much for the Cowboys and their glory holes.
3 Mon, Sep 24 vs Green Bay Packers W - Close game, but home field advantage works in our favor.
4 Sun, Sep 30 @ St. Louis Rams L- Let down loss after big game against GB
5 Sun, Oct 7 @ Carolina Panthers W - Pete puts eyes on Cam, and the Panthers don't have enough weapons to adjust.
6 Sun, Oct 14 vs New England Patriots - L Can't win all the big games, and this one isn't as important because of the out of conference schedule.
7 Thu, Oct 18 @ San Francisco 49ers W - Lynch and Wilson bust a move, and Alex Smith reverts to his old self.
8 Sun, Oct 28 @ Detroit Lions - L This team's pretty good and Seattle has just finished an emotional road victory.
9 Sun, Nov 4 vs Minnesota Vikings W - Christian Ponder is terrible.
10 Sun, Nov 11 vs New York Jets W- A team in disarray by this point. No offense and their defense is not as amazing as advertised.
    11 Bye
12 Sun, Nov 25 @ Miami Dolphins L - Away after a bye week spells trouble for the team.
13 Sun, Dec 2 @ Chicago Bears W - This week gets us back on track.
14 Sun, Dec 9 vs Arizona Cardinals W - We just plain step on the Cardinals this year.
15 Sun, Dec 16 @ Buffalo Bills W - We luck into a game against Tarvaris Jackson this week.
16 Sun, Dec 23 vs San Francisco 49ers L - Can't win them all. Everything just goes wrong in this game.
17 Sun, Dec 30 vs St. Louis Rams W - We're not getting swept by the Rams this season.

    FINAL RECORD: 11-5
PLACE IN DIVISION: Tied for 1st, but lost the division tie-breaker to SF.

  • 1 Sun, Sep 9 @ Arizona Cardinals W - Arizona just doesn't have the offense to contend with our defense.
2 Sun, Sep 16 vs Dallas Cowboys W - Home opener is going to be a huge advantage, especially with as stoked as the fan base is this year.
3 Mon, Sep 24 vs Green Bay Packers L - Close, high-scoring game, but a letdown after a huge win the week before.
4 Sun, Sep 30 @ St. Louis Rams W- Rams offense is going to meet our defense just when they are starting to click.
5 Sun, Oct 7 @ Carolina Panthers W - Good road test, and our defense and offense steps up to the job.
6 Sun, Oct 14 vs New England Patriots - L New England is not going to be the juggernaut they have been in recent memory, but they win this in a tough fought game.
7 Thu, Oct 18 @ San Francisco 49ers L - On the road against one of the toughest defenses proves to be an emotional learning experience.
8 Sun, Oct 28 @ Detroit Lions - L - The Lions are a solid team, and will be just a little better at home, giving us back-to-back-to-back losses and a whole lot of soul searching.
9 Sun, Nov 4 vs Minnesota Vikings W - Our defense will eat their offense alive, and our offense will be out to prove something in front of the home crowd.
10 Sun, Nov 11 vs New York Jets W- The Jets will be a lot worse than people think, and our defense will feast on whoever they have riding the quarterback carousel by then.
11 Bye - A much needed rest late in the year.
12 Sun, Nov 25 @ Miami Dolphins W - We will be rejuvenated against a bad team with a lot of problems on offense.
13 Sun, Dec 2 @ Chicago Bears L - The Bears will be a tough road test that we come up just short in.
14 Sun, Dec 9 vs Arizona Cardinals W - The Cardinals' defense will not maintain their strength after carrying the offense all year.
15 Sun, Dec 16 @ Buffalo Bills W - An indoor game in Toronto won't give them nearly the home field advantage they need.
16 Sun, Dec 23 vs San Francisco 49ers W - We rebound at home to avoid the sweep and take a huge bite out of their hopes to win the division.
17 Sun, Dec 30 vs St. Louis Rams W - At home against the Rams to close out the division and playoff position will set things up for a huge game.

    FINAL RECORD: 11-5
PLACE IN DIVISION: 1st, a game ahead of SF, and the number 3 seed in the playoffs.

  • 1 Sun, Sep 9 @ Arizona Cardinals = Win - We have way to much talent and the Cards to much disfunction.

2 Sun, Sep 16 vs Dallas Cowboys = Win - Opener and Dallas has eseentially a whole new core of DB's. If Wilson is as smart as they say he will pick them apart, our run game negates the pass rush. Our defense and crowd noise will once again find a way to embarass Romo.

3 Mon, Sep 24 vs Green Bay Packers = Win - By now the synchronazation is coming about for our defense and offense, Rodgers is good but the GB defense isn't we can ball control and take our shots, this is no gimme but I think this is our character builder game this season.

4 Sun, Sep 30 @ St. Louis Rams = Win - We have too much for them to contain, Bradford is looking more like his first season but not enough support to make it a real competition yet. Fisher will get there and this is a more physical Rams team then we have seen for a while.

5 Sun, Oct 7 @ Carolina Panthers = Win - With our defense playing against Wilson every week we are ready for Newt, I think we make him beat us with his arm and that isn't gonna happen with our defense on the road or not.

6 Sun, Oct 14 vs New England Patriots = Win - Pete has a certain special place for the Pats, they don't have the defense they used to have, they will get better cause they are now younger but not this year. Brady has lost his go to guy in Branch again, I'm not so sure they have the offense of yester year as well, in our house Belechick can film practices either.

7 Thu, Oct 18 @ San Francisco 49ers = Loss - In there house with a lot on the line, it's a brutal game. Home fieild is the difference.

8 Sun, Oct 28 @ Detroit Lions = Loss - Long road trip and were still recovering from S.F after 10 days, Detroit should be a favorite and it comes out in the final score.

9 Sun, Nov 4 vs Minnesota Vikings = Win - What better team to get our feel good shoes back on, we dominate at home.

10 Sun, Nov 11 vs New York Jets = Win - Tebowmania in Seattle, the Jets are a disaster by now and people are calling for Ryans head.

    11 Bye

12 Sun, Nov 25 @ Miami Dolphins = Win - Lots of rest and the Dolphins are almost as comical to watch as the Jets, our defense owns this game.

13 Sun, Dec 2 @ Chicago Bears = Loss - Chicago Chicago, what is it about this place, Tice has the offense playing much more consistent and Cutler has a comfort level again. A bit to much in their house.
14 Sun, Dec 9 vs Arizona Cardinals = Win - We bigin closing out the division with the Cards, Whisenhunt may be gone by now and the team is suffering the Bidwell curse of giving up on the season, interim coach and interim players, this team is set for a house cleaning again.

15 Sun, Dec 16 @ Buffalo Bills = Win - Fitz is out injured and TJack is starting, it's in Toronto so no home field advantage, we win because were just more talented.

16 Sun, Dec 23 vs San Francisco 49ers = Win - Payback game, again a brutal game and it takes everything our of both teams, we come out on top at Home.

17 Sun, Dec 30 vs St. Louis Rams = Win - We have the division locked up, at home against this Rams team we play a half with starters and then fill in the rest with second level guys that still are able to win this .

    FINAL RECORD: 13 -3
    PLACE IN DIVISION: 1st

  • Hello! New here. I regularly post on the Seattle PI Forum but it has kind of died down in recent years and I like the discussions here.

1 Sun, Sep 9 @ Arizona Cardinals WIN
2 Sun, Sep 16 vs Dallas Cowboys WIN (No way we lose our home opener especially if we win Week 1)
3 Mon, Sep 24 vs Green Bay Packers LOSS (Will be a very good game)
4 Sun, Sep 30 @ St. Louis Rams WIN
5 Sun, Oct 7 @ Carolina Panthers LOSS (This game could go either way and I will be at this game :D )
6 Sun, Oct 14 vs New England Patriots LOSS (Good game but we fall short)
7 Thu, Oct 18 @ San Francisco 49ers LOSS (Heart breaker)
8 Sun, Oct 28 @ Detroit Lions WIN (One of those signature type wins)
9 Sun, Nov 4 vs Minnesota Vikings WIN (win big)
10 Sun, Nov 11 vs New York Jets WIN (unmotivated, hostile locker room results in lackluster performance)
    11 Bye
12 Sun, Nov 25 @ Miami Dolphins WIN (run away with it)
13 Sun, Dec 2 @ Chicago Bears LOSS (Tough to call. They're either very good or terrible)
14 Sun, Dec 9 vs Arizona Cardinals WIN (deflated team with nothing to play for)
15 Sun, Dec 16 @ Buffalo Bills LOSS (I dont know how the Canada factor will play. But they might be a decent team this year and it seems we never play them well).
16 Sun, Dec 23 vs San Francisco 49ers WIN (We get revenge in a big way)
17 Sun, Dec 30 vs St. Louis Rams WIN (Play us tough in a to close for comfort type game)

You took the words right out of my mouth! Should we start out 3-0, the NFL will have us on their RADAR. We get cocky and lose to teams we should have beaten. Our home game with the Niners will determine the NFC West Champs.....We win!! Regular season record 10-6.

Our Playoff chances will be determined on how healthy our OL is...that is key for our running game!

If this happens I'll send you 200 dollars via paypal.

Realistically is the only way to go. Now of course we don't know how other teams are going to fair but going off last year I would say our max win total is 10 realistically. I know that seems low but our schedule isn't a cake walk, and assuming more than 5 or 6 wins on the road is to wear seahawk colored glasses.

That being said I believe our defense is still underrated by man and will surprise a few.
Not to mention our Offense will be improved with Wilson maybe not a lot improved (obviously starting a rookie QB will have its bumps and bruises) but I would like to see us get out of the bottom 10 in pass yards per game, more middle of the pack would be nice.

However, if we can beat SF as we did the Ravens, we'll make it. If we're strong enough offensively to keep up with Green Bay or Carolina, we'll be amazing.
