Now that we have had some time to learn about our rookies and see how they may fit in, post how you think they will turn out in their rookie year, and down the road. Not for chest thumping, just for fun. After training camp approaches, we will move this thread to the archive for safe keeping
RD PK (OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL 1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon

Curry will start from day 1 and end up 2nd on the team in tackles behind Lofa. His presence will also allow Leroy Hill to do what he does best and Hill will get 13 sacks this year.
Unger will start the season off as a backup and get his first start part way through the season when one of our guards or center gets hurt. He will play well and remain the starter after that.
Butler will have 28 catches and 3 touchdowns. Splitting time with Burleson as the 3rd receiver.
Teel will be the 3rd string quarterback and not see the field.
Greene will take CJ Wallace's roster spot and play some special teams.
Reed will be on the practice squad.
Morrah will surprise and become our 2nd tight end. 15 catches with 3 touchdowns
I also predict that undrafted free agent Devin Moore will take Justin Forsett's roster spot. And Forsett will be cut or back to the practice squad.

RD PK (OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL
1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest - Starts 16 games - should have won rookie of the year but it goes to a 5th round pick from Dallas.
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon - Starts at C by week 6.
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State - 2 starts because he is developing and injuries. (Re: Cut Branch cause of him after this offseason)
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers - Selling insurance with David Greene after TC
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers - PS player in favor of Babs.
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon - Fringe PS player that is buried in the depth chart and never really is given a chance. Is released off the PS mid season for a WR.
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California - Full time back-up behind Carlson - 3 catches.

1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest - Will win the DROY award and make the probowl along with Lofa, and Leroy.
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon - Will sub in at a guard position mid way through the season due to injury or poor performance.
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State - Will set the Qwest Field Turf on fire and become a legit target for matt.
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers - Will enjoy learning with a clipboard in his hand.
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers - Will spend the season on the practice squad in favor of a more experienced player.
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon - Will be extremely close to making the roster at the end of TC and make his way to the PS.
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California - Will battle HARD with Joe Newton during the preseason to see who will get that 3rd TE spot. This is Newtons last chance to make it (no more PS eligibility) so the battle is going to be pretty good.

RD PK (OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL
1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest, assumes Peterson's position and out plays him while terrorizing the NFC-W RBs and QBs, demonstrates he was the best player in this years draft for seasons to come.
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon, starts the year as a backup and becomes the starting LG as the season progresses, we are very happy with what he brings to the team.
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State, will be a PR and the #5 WR to begin the season but will become the # 3 after Branch gets hurt again, becomes a total fan favorite and a ST phenom, develops an Engram like rapport with Hass.
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers, will not make the team and will be the #4 QB on the PS, but is elevated to #3 as the season progresses.
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers, starts the season as a ST coverage player or the gunner doesn't become a starter as a S this season, but pushes hard so he's a situational sub.
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon, is a surprise makes the team as a coaches favorite and is primarily used on ST and otherwise in nickle situations as a pass rushing specialist and gets a surprising number of sacks, pointing out how ineffective the other pass rushers on the team are at present.
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California, doesn't make the team but is kept to develop on the PS.
_________________ Until we develop a pass rush that will cause opposing teams to be forced to scheme to defend it we will never be able to completely take the final step. Until the OLine is strengthened the team will remain weak.

1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest - DROY candidate, awesome beast.
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon - Will replace Spencer, who will move to guard then get benched.
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State - Just as Housh will make us forget Bobby, Butler will make us forget Branch, who will be on IR.
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers - Backup to Hass when Seneca switches to RB.
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers - TC fodder.
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon - Makes the PS.
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California - Solid backup.

1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest, starter, DROTY and probowl alternate?
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon, Back up until Wahle gets hurt.
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State, Return duties, Branch will be out by the 2nd quarter in the first game, so he'll be number 3 this year while Branch sits taking up money he doesnt deserve.
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers, hitting on cheerleaders and subsequently grossing them out.
7 36 (245) C. Greene S, Special teamer
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE, Practice squad
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California, depth chart will say #3, but stats will say #2.

RD PK (OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL 1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest -- DROY. Helps shut down opposing run games and limits opponents' short passing attacks, also providing some pass rush help.
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon -- Sticks at LG, for good reason.
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State -- Finds value as a situational WR and gains league-wide notice as a return threat.
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers -- Will probably spend the first year learning but will be ready to move up to #2 in 2010.
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers -- If he improves enough, will take over for Russell at FS, also a ST playmaker.
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon -- Finds a niche as a ST ace and a situational pass-rusher.
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California -- Becomes a valuable backup tight end, keeping the position strong if Carlson goes down.

RD PK (OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL 1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest- Will be a great player, won't win ROY because he plays in Egypt.
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon- Starts 16 games somewhere on the line.
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State- Plays just WR, not on ST. Has a good 1st year. not great. Will outplay Branch.
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers- I honestly think in 3-4 years he will be our starting QB. He has the tools and the smarts. I hope he gets the coaching. (But I'm a WVU fan and hated when Pat White was named the starter instead of the other guy, whose name I don't even remember.)
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers- This year ST, next year backup, Starter after that.
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon-Might make the roster, but I don't think so. Career ST player.
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California- ST and backup to the best TE in Seahawks history.

Props - I love these!!!
RD PK (OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL 1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest Starts from day 1 and makes good contributions this year. Is not a Pro Bowler this year and is not in many serious conversations for the DROY. But, he doesn't miss tackles or assignments, and makes those around him a bit better. Few sacks of few opportunities.
Down the road, he turns into a beast - and one of the most underrated players in the NFL. Becomes a Pro Bowl player in year 3 when his sack numbers increase, and he plays at that level for many years. His career declines slowly with his football IQ letting him last long after his body starts to give way.
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon He makes the roster and plays in about 10 games due to performance or injuries this year. He plays well most of the time, but it's obvious he's still learning assignments this year.
Next year, he competes for a starting job at G where he makes his career. Forget about a jack of all trades, he stays at G for his entire career. He never makes a Pro Bowl but is above average at guard for years 2-8.
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State
This year, he makes the roster but doesn't contribute much and lives on the innactives for about half the time. Less than 300 yards and 3 TDs for the year. He has a couple drops that haunt him...
He never becomes a stud, but next year he starts to come into his own. We try him in the slot, but it quickly becomes apparent that he's better outside. His route running improves and he gets 800+ yards for three of his first five years. He's tough to cover, but never becomes the deep threat or big play guy that we'd like. He's quick, and that helps him more than his speed.
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers Nothing comes of him. He's a PS guy this year and next year, but never makes our or anyone's roster. His arm develops in something that's servicable, but he never learns to read/react to coverage which is his downfall.
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers The heater-just at S. A fan favorite very early on, he makes some huge hits and is everywhere this preseason. But, his technical skills are lacking. He makes the roster and makes big contributions in special teams. He plays in most games but doesn't see the field as a safety.
His career is short and much of the same. A fun player to watch, but he never masters S in the pros and will be replaced by year 4 for another ST player with more promise to start in the future.
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon A PS guy this year and next. He shows flahses in PS but he never makes the active roster.
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California[/quote] A good player, Morrah makes the roster this year and bounces between active and innactive. He doesn't contribute much this year in terms of numbers, but plays well, makes his blocks, and doesn't mess up. No more than 200 yards this year.
By the start of next year, he's a staple. He never develops into a star, but develops into a good blocker and keeps his soft hands. He tops out at 500 yards and 4 TDs one year, but he's always a get-the-job-done guy.

RD PK (OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL 1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest - Will start all 16 games, showing why he was the best prospect out of college this year with his all around game. Will have 4 sacks, 90+ tackles and 2 picks. Will not be selected to the Pro Bowl.
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon - Will not begin in week one as a starter, but will take over for any of Wahle/Sims/Spencer by Week 7 due to injury. Will play as well as a second round inside offensive lineman can play, but nothing spectacular
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State - Will have less of a role in the passing game than many think. However, he will win the starting punt returners job and return 2 kicks for touchdowns. Decision making with his kick returning will be questionable at times in the beginning 1/2 of the year.
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers - Will make the team but will not be active for any games this coming year. Jeff Rowe will be cut.
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers - Will beat out both Jamar Adams and C.J. Wallace for a backup safety position. Will be mostly a special teams player, seeing some time at Free Safety in place of B. Russell
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon - Will be cut and given a place on the practice squad.
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California - Will be cut and given a place on the practice squad.

Curry Unger and Butler are remembered as the great 1,2,3 draft picks of Seahawk History.
Curry is held out of practice after causing too many injuries to the offense. Unger Takes over at Center and becomes Blair Bush II-All Star-All Pro-Superbowl Champion-MVP Butller comes out of nowhere and leads the Hawks with most Sport Center Highlights
Teel makes a splash in his first pre-season game by stepping out of the back of the endzone. Later in the year he disappears after going to pick up his free Thanksgiving Turkey. Travis Lulay steps in and no one notices the loss.
C. Morrah hides in the shadows and breaks out big three years form now when Carlson is injured
The new long snapper plays for the Hawks for 16 years and when he retires, he is immediately inducted into the Ring of Honor

7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California Curry: Will be a solid starter at the start and will show flashes of brilliance. His second year will be much better. Unger: This is the guy I expected us to take in the second but who saw that trade coming? He'll be our LG this year and will help Big Walt have a great year. Butler: Will make some solid plays but wont break the starting lineup. Branch's replacement. Teel: If he sees the field we're ****ed. Greene: PS all year. Reed: PS. Morrah: PS to start will be brought up at some point in the season. I don't think anyone is going to be OMG amazing, mainly because our first two picks were at positions where you don't normally see incredible performances even from HOF players, by nature they're role players. Butler is going to be interesting to watch, he decides how long Branch has in Seattle.

RD PK (OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL 1 4 (4) A. Curry OLB W Forest------ Has a monster season, 100+ tackles, 2 ints, 3 FF's. Should be named DROY, but it goes to the flavor of the week, most likely a Cowboy, or Pat.
2 17 (49) M. Unger C Oregon Will start we one, at G. Have a good year, we won't hear much about him, which is a good thing for a O-linemen.
3 27 (91) D. Butler WR Penn State. Will see some playing time around week 5, end the season with 16 catchs and 2 Td's. but shows lots of promise.
6 5 (178) M. Teel QB Rutgers... will a win the espy for best clip board holding, while prettying up the sideline.
7 36 (245) C. Greene S Rutgers.... i think he has a real shot to make the team and play special teams
7 38 (247) N. Reed DE Oregon... ps squad
7 39 (248) C. Morrah TE California 3 Te... 4 catches
