solid article. heres a couple quotes i liked:

In February, the Seahawks won the first Super Bowl in franchise history, but the team has gotten great fan support even when it wasn’t winning. The 2014 home opener marked the team’s 96th consecutive sellout. Seattle has made the playoffs the last two years, but their home stadium was filled for every game in the previous four seasons, even though each one ended with a losing record for the Seahawks.

96th consecutive sellout, hmm... so ive been a seahawk fan since i was 8-9 years old. and i just got back from vegas today. while down there with some friends (also hawk fans) we got tired of a few outspoken 49er idiots suggest that seattle fans were just bandwagoners who have been fans for 2 years. considering all the losing seasons we've endured we almost went fistacuffs a couple times lawl. since there were 10 of us (all solid), it was lucky for them club/casino security is everywhere down there. and well, their drugged out faces were ugly already so yeah a few more punches wouldnt have changed anything. but as dumb as the 49er flamers were, the bronco and raider fans we came across were super cool and respectful. imagine that!

Other NFL teams sell out every game, but it’d be hard to find fans that are as loud as Seattle’s. Fans set a record for crowd noise in December of last year, and the stadium has gotten so loud at times that fans of other teams have even called for the NFL to take action against the Seahawks.

“It would be simple to fix. Seahawks players and managers would ask their fans to cease and desist, and the NFL would implement a new rule: The visiting team may stop the game when fan noise is greater than a specified decibel level, and should this rule be violated in more than three games, no home games will be played at the offending field for the rest of the season, including playoff games,” read a letter written to the editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, following a game between the Seahawks and 49ers last year.

:177692: ahahahahah. i remember this last season but it still brings a tear to my eye

so, anyway, any thoughts on these changing perceptions about our fanbase? to me its a little weird that the international business times (IBT) did an article on us :229031_confused2:

JT The Brick said it perfectly on Friday, he said he's been around to just about every stadium in the NFL, and Seattle is the only stadium where he's seen people literally hanging out of the luxury boxes screaming with no one in the stadium sitting down EVER.

At the Clink, rather than the fans screaming standing out it is the fans who are not screaming who do.

Says it all
