I heard this while driving around yesterday. Nice listen. I thought the Packers play-by-play guy was really good. Even though it was just the Seahawks highlights, he was engaging and enthusiastic. His calls really painted the picture. He was also respectful of the teams, the players, and the game. Too many local broadcasts come across as dull and lifeless, then when the Hawks take over the game, they go into annoying, whiney, homerism mode. This Packers broadcast was almost Raible-level. ALMOST.
Just looked it up, and it makes sense that Wayne Larrivee is a seasoned pro. He's been the Packers play-by-play guy for 15 years, and has broadcast NFL games for 36 years. He also did Bears, Chiefs, and Chicago Bulls and Cubs games.
The color commentator, Larry McCarren, has been at it for 25 years and was named Wisconsin sportscaster of the year 4 times. Here's the info for anyone interested:
