For hiring Josh McDaniel, who traded the Bronco's 2010 (14th overall) 1st round pick to our GM that turned in to Earl Thomas who kicked yer ass in the SuperB Owl. I just love the irony of this.

If Tim Ruskell gives you lemons...

Thank you Jim Mora, for having such a crappy season that we had the 6th overall pick that we could use on Russell Okung, thus filling our need for a Left Tackle which allowed us to draft a tenacious, speedy Free Safety with the second of our 1st round picks. ;)

And thank you Tim Ruskell, while you screwed up and kept a second kicker while letting Michael Bennett go, you did at least prior to that, sign him as an undrafted free agent. And because of that, he got a taste of what a great city Seattle is to play in, which may have positively influenced him to choose to return here in 2013.

And while there were many blunders during the Tim Ruskell era, he did leave us with Unger and Mebane, while also making it easy for John and Pete to practice their roster churning once they got here. :p

Don't forget to thank Ruskell for

1. Drafting Red Bryant
2. Signing Jon Ryan
3. Daryl Tapp (2nd Round Pick, 2006) that became Clemons and a 4th round pick.
4. Deion Branch (1st Round Pick, 2007) that became 4th Round pick that became KJ Wright and started the chain reaction of sending a '11 4th round pick + '12 5th round pick for Marshawn Lynch.
5. Kelly Jennings (1st Round Pick, 2006) that became Clifton McDonald
6. Lawrence Jackson (1st Rounder, 2008) that became Byron Maxwell.
7. Aaron Curry (1st Rounder, 2009) that became JR Sweezy and Jesse Williams?
8. Josh Wilson (2nd round pick, 2007) for pick #157 + a draft day trade with Detriot gave the Seahawks pick #154 in a swap which became Richard Sherman.
9. Don't forget to thank Ruskell for Mora and to thank Mora for Dan Quinn (and Gus Bradley).

Most of that list is PC & JS miracle working to turn Ruskell's mistakes into key contributors.

Thank Timmy for blowing picks on crappy players who PCJS had to move in order for this team to compete?

Actually Coutou was on the roster in 2008, Bennett was 2009. Bennett was released so the Seahawks could bring back Justin Griffith.

Don't take it so seriously, it's just a fun exercise in showing what a phenomenal job John Schneider has done with this team.

But most of all, thanks to PC/JS for taking Ruskell Lemons and turning them into Seahawk lemonade!

As much as we love Holmgren, don't forget to thank him for being a power hungry meglomaniac who could never deal with having his full GM duties stripped thus creating a toxic relationship with Ruskell.

Uh. I'm not a Holmgren homer but when you lose your GM job and have it given to morons like Bob Ferguson and Tim Ruskell, well, toxicity is guaranteed.

The same Bob Ferguson and Tim Ruskell that helped turn the team around when Holmgren went 31-33 in his first four seasons? The same Bob Furgeson and Tim Ruskell that helped get us to our first SB?

I know both these guys had their issues, but let's not forget that Holmgren COULDN'T get it done by himself.

The major pieces (namely our O line, QB, RB, Djack, Engram) were already there thanks to Holmgren. The GM "poo poo platter" after him gave us Trufant (first round pick, no brainer), Locklear, Lofa & Leroy (Ruskell's only great draft picks) and Tubbs in the draft.

We'll never know if Holmgren could have gotten us there with those two extra years of being GM. But it was his Offense that he put together, that was the core of the SB40 team---I think it's VERY likely that we could have had a better Defense than we did with Holmgren as GM.

Thank you Josh McDaniel for entertaining the world by picking Tim Tebow in the first round. Thank you John Fox for somehow getting in to the playoffs with Tim Tebow, thus only prolonging the agony!

Thank you Peyton Manning for calling, then snubbing Pete Carroll and John Schneider. :)
