Winning "indicators"

The game will be decided on the field. That is a given. But there are certain indicators or trends that are fun to look at. Off the top of my head, here are a few. Feel free to add any you have heard.

*Super Bowl teams that have met in the preseason are 5 out of 6 in favor of the team who won in preseason.
Seahawks 40- Broncos 10

* When the #1 Offense has met the #1 Defense, the defense has won 9 out of 10 times.

*Colin Cowherd picks Denver. He has been terrible this year.

*Broncos have always lost Super Bowls wearing their orange jerseys.

*Every animal (a dog, a bear) picking specialist with a gimmick that I have heard of has picked the Seahawks.

You can add to the animals the Gorilla in the Salt Lake City Zoo. He has picked the last six SB winners in a row and picked the Hawks "without hesitation." The best part is that the zoo keepers are all Bronco fans and where upset about it

*Bill Simmons picked the Broncos

*Teams that wear their white jerseys in the SB are 29-18 lifetime and have won eight of the last nine.

*Peyton Manning is the fourth QB in NFL history to reach the Super Bowl after leading the NFL in passing yards and passing TDs. Tom Brady, Kurt Warner and Dan Marino also accomplished this feat, after the 2007, 2001 and 1984 seasons, respectively. All lost by a combined score of 75-47 in the three Super Bowls.

*The Broncos' 606 points are the most scored by a team in a single season in NFL history. Of the next eight teams on the all-time scoring list, not one went on to win the Super Bowl.
