So the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a Snow Storm for the Superbowl (And I don't mean what Bill Romanowski will be doing up in the Broncos' alumni lounge...). Either way it will be very cold:

"The 197-year-old publication that hits newsstands Monday predicts a winter storm will hit the Northeast around the time the Super Bowl is played at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands in New Jersey. It also predicts a colder-than-normal winter for two-thirds of the country and heavy snowfall in the Midwest, Great Lakes and New England."

And now, meterologists using technology are predicting it too:

What does this mean for the game? Wind? Snow? Freezing Rain?

Whatever it is, I just hope it helps the good guys!

Too soon to get an exact forecast, we'll know more next week. But the long range forecast is for continued cold (25-35 degrees) with chance of snow.

Here's what we do know, the colder, windier and snowier the better for the Hawks. Manning's precision timing passing offense does NOT do well in the wind and cold.

Don't know if anyone here has experience using a Farmer's Almanac...but they are betting on it:

“We are forecasting stormy weather for this, the biggest of sporting venues,” the Almanac’s Web site says.
Almanac managing editor Sandi Duncan is already naming Super Bowl XLVIII the “Storm Bowl.”

The farmers almanac said there would be snow on the ground at my area...on NOV.2. THere was a light dusting of snow in my area on Nov 2 Late night. It was there for only a few days then cleared off as it got warm. So I am thinking that book is pretty good for some stuff. :stirthepot: :stirthepot:

Wind might help but the snow would put the defense at a disadvantage (eagles vs lions) so i hope its windy but no snow on the field.

I spent the week in NY on. A business trip. They were digging out from the storm, but were predicting low thirties for the start of the game. Light breeze and no snow either. Hoping for worse weather!
