Maybe mentioned already, but it just occurred to me that the team we got our first playoff victory against could be the same team we get our first SB victory against. Meaningless little tidbit, but like our "only team to play in BOTH conference championships", likely something that will never ever happen again.
Because that 1983 31-7 thrashing of the Broncs was on Christmas Eve, I got to go to the game with my dad (R.I.P.) because my mom had to prepare the house for guests.
This is the matchup I expected in 2006, but Jake Plummer & the Broncos didn't get the memo. Can't wait to see how this plays out. I'm generally cautiously optimistic at best, but I REALLY like our chances in 48. So many intriguing storylines that will only build over the next 2 weeks...I am SO jacked!
