The only thing more annoying then Seahawks getting busted for stupid drugs is ref bashing..

My motivation was not about "ref bashing".

They deal with a lot of forces pushing and pulling on them as noted in the articles. Officials are the third team on the field of play and like it or not they do play a role in the conduct and outcome of games.

My motivation was to post links to articles that provide insights into the difficulties and challenges facing NFL officials. I applaud the NFL in opening up coverage of this area of the game to the public. I think it helps fans. The article depicts "Officials as people too".
