I had us lose to the Saints, but beat SF. We clinched HFA and the Niners missed the playoffs! Whoohooo!

  • Love me some playoff machine. Hours of speculation begins. Makes you appreciate being the top dog, let alone in the playoff mix.

  • lmao, the saints struggled against the niners @HOME.
The niners, you know the team with the worst QB of the 2013 season.

Yeah that team? And we're coming off the bye with a healthy o-line?????

And the Saints, a team who couldn't stop the run to save their lifes?

  • Pick your criteria (home team, power rankings, or whatever) then select a week. The teams playing each other comes up and you can select which team you think will win in each match up. If it is different than the pre selection then the results are changed accordingly.

  • Using the 6 default criteria with no adjustments, the niners only make it to the players 1/3 of the time.

  • Not that we didn't already know how big the Monday game against the Saint is and have discussed the potential outcomes many times, but this playoff machine really brings the point home. If the Hawks lose, they have to win all 4 remaining games AND have the Saints lose at least one of their remaining games to get the 1 seed. If the Hawks win, all they need to do is win 2 of their next 4 (even if the Saints win out). That's quite the difference.

It works, it's just formatted very poorly and hopefully will be spruced up sometime soon. But you can still use it, just make sure you are clicking the winner of the right matchup when clicking the little logos at top.

  • Don't bother using the criteria. Just click on the week, then click the logo of each team you think will win. The formatting is screwy right now, but hopefully they'll fix that soon.

Yeah if the Cardinals stay hot, that week 17 game versus the 49er (in Arizona!) could decide who gets the wildcard.

Ahhhh, looks like they reverted back to the 2012 version. I'm guessing they are trying to fix the 2013 version. The formatting (i.e., user interface) on the 2013 version was screwed up for pretty much every browser so most likely they took it offline to fix it.

  • This is what I got when I plugged in DVOA's and gave the home team the standard +17%.

    Image

Niners don't make it. Eagles take the East. Titans sneak in of all things.

Okay, HOW do I make that pic bigger?

  • This is the seeding I ended up with:

    NFC:
    1. Seattle (15-1)
    2. Carolina (12-4)
    3. Detroit (11-5)
    4. Philadelphia (9-7)
    5. New Orleans (11-5)
    6. Chicago (11-5)

    AFC:
    1. Kansas City (14-2)
    2. New England (13-3)
    3. Indianapolis (12-4)
    4. Cincinnati (11-5)
    5. Denver (13-3)
    6. Cleveland (8-8)

I obviously have the Seahawks winning out.

On top of the Saints losing to us on December 1st, I have them splitting with Carolina with each team winning at home. I also have the Saints getting upset on the road against St. Louis.

I have San Francisco finishing 9-7. They will lose to Seattle, St. Louis, and the Buccaneers on the road.

I have the Broncos losing on the road against New England and Kansas City.

Kansas City's only other loss of the regular season is at home against Indianapolis.

The fact that I ended up with Cleveland even making the playoffs just goes to show how weak I think the AFC is.

  • This tool is so cool... I'm glad it's back. No matter how you slice it, SF is grinding... they are getting very unexpected pressure from AZ, and the other WC contention teams will make them lucky to get in at all. Feels good to already have 10 wins and be in the driver seat for #1 or #2!

Hahaha can you imagine...Peyton Manning and the Broncos having to play AT Jacksonville in the wild card. Maurice Jones-Drew then runs for a Beastquake-caliber touchdown and effectively wins the game.

Jags win the AFC Championship Game and Mike Glennon and the Bucs get revenge and stun us at home.

Jags vs Bucs Super Bowl! After both teams starting 0-8...

Oh man, that would be the greatest thing ever besides a Seahawks Super Bowl :stirthepot:
