Sounds like a dream job for a seahawk fan cop. Get paid to watch a seahawk game and only have to do anything if someone's a real jackass.

^ No just need not to hit others, throw stuff at others and focus the screaming and yelling at results on the field :D

Interrupt a Seahawks fan cop trying to watch a game in the 3rd or 4th quarter you can pretty much guarantee you're gonna get the business lol.

"Take it easy with your trash-talk at Seahawks games this season—that fan in the other team’s jersey might actually be an undercover cop.

Toward the end of last football season, police received complaints about fan-on-fan violence and harassment in and out of the stadium, some of which was witnessed first-hand by officers attending games while off-duty."

And, this begin tonight.

Excellent move. They get to watch the game, and if someone starts causing trouble, they get to kick their unruly ass!

When you can't feel comfortable taking your young children to a game because of the profanity, threats, and possible violence, it's time to step up efforts to provide a family friendly environment, that's how it's a good thing...

According to the article it was a couple of off duty cops that were causing the trouble,... in one incident anyway.

From the article.

One of those episodes involved two off-duty Bellevue (Wash.) police officers who used profanity at a uniformed Seattle police officer and stadium workers and later were escorted out.

I remember that event from the newspaper last year. These Bellevue off-duty cops were harassing everyone, SPD officers (particularly a female officer), fans of both teams, cursing at children when adults asked them to tone it down, spouting off how great they are because they are Bellevue police officers, etc.

It's basically instances and events like these that ruin in for the rest of us. I've had season tickets for 10-years now and I've been to most of them. I've only seen one fight break out in my time and I've been in the same section for 9 of the 10 years. Morons who can't control themselves and feel justified in being a jerk. All it does it allow for overraction because no one has the ability to step in and tell some jagoff to behave like a human being.

Here's a link to the Seattle Times Article.

On the radio today, they said the cops plan to actually wear RAIDERS stuff, not just under-cover.

Was watching the Pats and Gnats game and saw this on the screen scroll. I unfortunately haven't been to the CLink for a couple of years, but I would be surprised and disappointed in our fans if this was the case. Been going to Hawks games for 35+ years and every time I've seen an a-hole act up to an opposing fan, our guys have always self-policed, so I don't know if this is contrived by others for their own reasons or if that's the acutal case.

Edit: It WAS the police...nice.

Lets see two off duty Bellevue cops get in an altercation, Seattle hires undercovers that will bait Seattle fans into doing of saying something to get them fined, arrested or escorted out of the stadium. Typical Seattle bullshit, being open and visable will defuse situations rather then trying to entrap fans.

Seattle already has a reputation as trigger happy, and racist based on all the lawsuits and videos here catching them over the last 10 or so years.

I think New Orleans is the only other city that had a more corrupt and prejudicial police department.
