  • Thank you all for your wishes on losing my dad, its really comforting. I finally booked tickets for the flight and game today, flying in from Seattle. I got the game tickets from Ticket Master, they had some 300 level single seats for face value $253 for one ticket(section 341), so just picked it up. Looking forward to meeting all of you and please keep all of us posted as we get closer. Also PM me if anyone is arriving/departing around the same time, I am at the airport. We can either share a cab or make transportation arrangements.

  • I'm going to try to make it. I booked a flight that arrives into IAH at 440PM....and another (the only Alaska direct flight) that leaves the day of game at 535PM. The game starts at noon and runs about 3.5 hours.

    Anyone familiar w/ distance from Reliant to IAH? Can I jump in a cab after the game and be at the airport in an hour?

    provided that you don't have to wait long for a cab, and there are no traffic issues. 1 hr is enough time. I myself would want more time. What if it's an overtime game. I'd hate to spend that kind of money and have to split before the end. Either way it's going to be an awesome good time. GO HAWKS.

  • I booked United leaving 5:50 am Saturday and back the flight is leaving at 9 PM from Houston. They are direct flights, booked directly from the site. Cost me 300 dollars Round Trip. Just sharing if there are more who are waiting.

  • can't wait it's gunna be incredible. Just came back form a Dr. Appt with my wife. This was the view from the Dr. Office. Reliant center and Texans training bubble. I have been talking so much smack to my buddies, this is a MUST win, for my street credibility any way.

  • Here is a little travel tidbit. Houston average temperature on sept. 29th is. High 85 low 68. Many days in late sept. are still in the 90s. Obviously the actual game won't be an issue. Tailgate festivities are a separate issue. If any of you are hot natured, bring some shorts. This time of year the weather here can change quickly but you can probably count on it being warmer than you might think.

    If you are staying close to reliant, you would need to go south for the space center. South bound traffic in the AM isn't all that bad. If you ended up at Moody gardens Friday afternoon you would prob miss rush hour coming back, especially of you had dinner in Galveston before heading back. Just saying. Houston traffic can be bad, but based on the locations and travel times involved, no need to miss those things.
