  • Jeese "Tha Monster" Williams. He is the one player I believe can have a tremendous impact on the defensive line. Many project him to be a Ngata type of player. If he is even half of that, it'll be very good. I see a lot of similarities between him and a former Seahawk - Marcus Tubbs. When Tubbs was in there, he had strong impact on the defense. Guys like Tatupu and Hill benefitted from it. Williams could have the same effect for Wagner and rest of the LBs.

btw hes not very popular among our fanbase, so i dont really see his name spelled alot, but it is fun to yell.

I love the idea of Bane at NT and Williams at 3 teq and Red at the 5 teq that just has the potential to be very stout in my opinion. In addition to the run stuffing abilities of that group I really want to see what type havoc Jesse can creat in the backfield at 3 teq, i'm excited.

  • My pick for this year is our latest conversion project Jared Smith.

The Seahawks turned their attention to adding depth to the offensive line in the seventh round. Seattle selected Vanderbilt guard Ryan Seymour, Northeastern State tackle Michael Bowie and plan on converting New Hampshire defensive tackle Jared Smith to the offensive line as well. Seattle also selected outside linebacker Ty Powell from Division II Harding University. Powell is the first player from Harding to be selected in the draft since 1983.

  • Going with Simon this year. Seems like the easiest fit. Really hoping that Williams is a success but I think his journey may be more difficult.

Wait, that sounds like I'm just betting on the sure-thing in a horse race? Maybe I've got this all wrong... Maybe that's why I always lose when I bet on horses too... Hmmm...

What's the word on him Jazz?

Small school underdog. Bigger kid, could develop into a LEO sub (8.5 sacks and 15 TFL last season), played safety and DE in addition to OLB in college. Tells me he may have some coverage skills in space, which is critical for our OLB/DE's.

I doubt he will spend much time in the backfield as he's more of a pocket collapser...that's something the D has been sorely needing, IMO, so I'm OK with that. He can send opposing QB's staight into the waiting arms of Clemmons or Irvin.

I'm excited about Bowie as well. He could be what we've been waiting for at RT, and with the Rams' defense getting increasingly beastly, our pass pro will have to improve. Teams will be getting after Wilson even more this year. Putting him in the turf is about the only way they'll be able to slow the offense once it gets rolling. I'm all for keeping Wilson upright, because he's displaced our D when it comes to giving us the best chance to win.

  • Yeah I am going to go with Chris Harper! I was debating between Michael and Jesse Williams as well because I think they will both be awesome, but I have to go with Harper because I just got that feeling like this guy is going to be an awesome wideout. Plus, I love the surprise factor he brings. Michael was awesome and many have him as the top RB in the draft if he does not get hurt. Many had Jesse Williams as 2nd round projection but think he may have fell because of knee or because he is so raw. Chris Harper though? Most don't have a clue (I didn't) because he was a receiver in a run heavy offense.

I have heard two names when people are trying to compare Harper to an NFL receiver: Andre Johnson and Anquan Boldin. I absolutely love the Andre comparison and Anquan was/is awesome as well. As much as I love the comparisons, of course that does not mean he will be anywhere near their level, but we won't know for sure until he gets his shot.

  • Jordan Hill. Mostly because my brother and sister both went to Penn State.

Also, after watching some clips, I like how his eyes are glued to the ball in the backfield, his feet are in sync with his eyes, and his hands are adept at shedding blockers. I'm not sure he's NFL starter ready as-is, but I think he's in a great situation to succeed and contribute to the rotation.

  • Since DT Jordan Hill was my MUST HAVE player it should be him, but I don't like conforming to the mainstream.

I also like Ryan Seymour and Michael Bowie but they both got votes. So, I'll go with Alvin Bailey. He might not make the roster, but I think he could make the practice squad, and be a factor next year once he knows how to consistently play with technique.

  • I am adopting Michael Bowie. We need a backup tackle something serious. Okung spoke for him, so I'm all in. Tharold Simon is a close second. I don't see Seattle resigning Browner. That leaves Lane and Simon to make an impact in 2015.

Mike Person still intrigues me. He is no longer a rookie, but may as well be.

  • I like Bowie and Abiley as long shots. Also like Hill cause everyone says he's a reach, but in the end I'm going with TE Luke Willson, a preseason Amckey award condadidate with good size, to end speed and soft hands. He unseats McCoy and pushes Mller for the top job in 2014.

  • Chris Harper. I watched him play in Oregon as a QB and KS as a receiver. I thinks he bring a lot to the team. He big, quick and having been a qb might give him a better football IQ as a wide receiver. It's going to be fun watching defenses tyr to stop this offense. Seahawks have added a lot of speed and option to their offense.

  • My pick is Jordan Hill i like his non-stop effort and his size is good for leverage to push the pocket. I also think he could develop into our base 3-tech putting a DT like Hill next to Avril or Irvin is going to be a nightmare for the blind side of the line alot of speed for the weakside to deal with.

I was gonna pick Jesse Williams i think he's a lock to make the team with his obvious run stuffing ability but i seen where he was used as a fullback which i thought was pretty cool and intresting in short yardage situations.

  • After watching videos of the rookie minicamp, I'm going with Jerrod Johnson.

Yup, he's a longshot, and his starting spot is definately filled, but I liked the way he can really huck the ball. Guy's got a cannon. I also liked how articulate and intelligent he sounded. When he talked about Russell, he mentioned work ethic as a top trait....if he works hard, I think he beats out Portis and makes the team...if we carry 3 QB's. Maybe PS if not, but he seemed comfortable out there and he's got the physical tools.

  • I was all about Jesse Williams pre-draft and was kinda upset when we passed on him 3 times. So initially I jumped on Da Monster's bandwagon as my adopt a rookie. After watching some of the rookie camp interviews and reading about some of the guys I'm kinda wishing I'd have picked Chris Harper, there is something about him that just makes me think he will be very successful and his size and strength going against our CB's will be very fun to watch. I'll stick with J-Will, but I am rooting hard for Harper to make some noise and push Tate and Baldwin for playing time.

  • Luke Willson. I decided this when the thread was started, but never posted it because lurking is kind of my thing. But it popped up again and I'm feeling adventurous

  • Jesse Williams. Been a fan of his since 2011. Kind of was the outlier in terms of banging his drum throughout the 2012 season on SDB. Absolutely thrilled that we picked him up.

He likely won't be the pass rusher that we needed. I can concede that much. But I love his brand of physicality and toughness. Those attributes are the currency of the day in the NFC West. I like him in a John Morgan/Brandon Mebane kind of way. I hope he sticks around for a good 8+ year run. At worst, he'll be the next Red Bryant.
