Thursday Night at Cards week 7
Thu Apr 18, 2013 4:02 pm
  • The Hawks could get three games flexed into Sunday night against the 9ers, Falcons and Giants.

The stretch of games weeks 6 - 9 playing 4 games in 21 days and the first 3 in 15 days will be a real test. Luckily the Rams will be the toughest opponent.

  • Our road schedule puts 6 of our 8 road games as back to back. Giving us home games back to back 3 times, but one of those will be interrupted by the BYE week.

  • Every single non division away game is a 10:00am start. That absolutely pisses me off.

How the hell do they justify changing the schedule so east coast teams don't have to travel, even though it forces west coast teams that already travel 10 times as much to travel even more but they can't simply move our east coast games to a 4:00pm start?

Sorry but that is pure and complete ignorance on the part of the NFL.

  • During the Flex scheduling, we play both the Falcons and the Giants. Good chance one of those gets moved

Week 10 we play Falcons while the SNF is Cowboys/Saints

Week 15 we play Giants while the SNF is Bengals/Steelers

There will be no way they touch Week 10. It's too early for flex scheduling.

Plus Fox will have the right to claim either of them as their "Game Of The Week" which is a 4:30ET start.

  • Going through all the games for each week, on the top of each page, NFL.com lists what they call the BEST GAME that week. We only get that distinction when we are @ Niners. I don't know where they came up with some of them. For instance, they thought the Niner/Panther game was better in week 10 than the Seahawks/Falcons game. That's just crazy

Cowboys are always a draw, but if they and the Saints are both not looking good at that point of the season, it's possible (even could be another team besides the Seahawks)

As for it being "too early"...flex scheduling starts in week 10

  • We can be crowned AFC South champs in Week 7.

This schedule is very very odd.

    - 5 of our first 8 on the road
    - Week 12 bye week
    - AFC South matchups Weeks 3-6
    - 4 of the best teams we play kickoff at 10 AM PST on the road

Not an easy schedule by any stretch. But we're extremely talented so.. if anyone can overcome it, its us.

I don't think the Niners care to be honest.

  • I know this is probably going to be a pointless thread, but I'm stoked! I'm in Indianapolis and I finally get to see the Seahawks in person after way too many years!

So watch the TV and look behind the Seahawks bench. I'll probably be the only dude sporting Seahawks duds in the crowd...and if they win, I'll be the guy running for my life from an angry mob in the parking lot! LoL 8)

You're speaking my language. I love the schedule. Nice late bye, good pacing with the prime time games, good pacing with the easier/tougher opponents. Perfect is exactly right.

Plus one of SF's 10am starts is against Jacksonville and in London. That shouldn't even count.
