And note on Portis:

Chris Mortensen ‏@mortreport

As Seahawks evaluate a few veteran QB options (add Vince Young to list), they do plan to re-sign Josh Portis, cut late last November.

I don't mind if they bring him in for a look-see, I am always a proponent of kicking the tires, turning over stones, etc etc. Anything other than that is a mistake, plain and simple.

On a side note, maybe we can get Vince Young's mom posting here again.

I'm fine with the "No stone unturned" approach.

However, I'd like to see someone that can help Russell.
Flynn was always known for making his starters better.

Nobody does what Russell does but someone close would make me sleep better.

We should offer Oakland a 7th for Matt Flynn. Just to see if they're paying attention.

Mortenson already threw Leinert and Thigpen's names out there earlier today. This doesn't sound much like reporting as it does throwing stuff up to see what sticks.

Good tip about Portis though, if true.

Signing VY for anything would be a bad decision. I'd rather see Portis get PT over him. VY Can barely handle 1 read when dropping back let alone 2...can't get through progressions for ish. He's terrible.

I might be in the minority but Vince Young is extremely talented and i think it would be a good signing.
Yes he has had his troubles in the NFL but Pete is familiar with him after he led Texas to that national championship comeback against USC years ago.
VY if his head is in the game... Is a better 'mobile' option than some. He showed flashes with the Titans.

VY just seems like such a POS. Seems like a guy who would never put the team first. Talented sure but he's a total head case

I don't know how I would feel about this, but I am good with whatever the FO does.

Young is probably there best option along with Portis . I doubt they draft a QB this year.

I live in Titan's country, Vince Young is a head-case. IMO, this would be a waste of money (no matter how little) and a roster spot. I'd much rather us go with Portis.
