He's had a lot of years to get used to his height. :-)

Russell has become something of a folk hero at every place he's ever played football.
I read this in a recent ESPN article about his sister:
Quote:
Family legend
That his sister wound up at Collegiate is a source of great comfort to Harry, who believes her resemblance to Russell will endear her to the school community and induce them to look after her. The Legend of Russell Wilson is certainly gaining steam there. Apocryphal stories abound on campus about his work ethic, his game exploits and how he once won a game of Connect Four in three move.
"I don't see her having trouble with [the legacy]," said her coach, Rives Fleming. "But I can't imagine [being in her shoes]. You see people whispering and talking in the stands. I've had referees come up and ask me which one is Russell's sister. Especially around here, it's hard to ignore it. That's got to be a hard act to follow. I wouldn't want to do it. I know some of our quarterbacks that have come through Collegiate since -- there's one kid that I heard is going to Michigan, and they're still asking him, 'Why aren't you as good as Russell?' He casts a big shadow."

Here's a link to RW3's high school scouting page from Scout.com He was a 2-star rated QB slotted way down at #67 his SR. year. It's amazing to see some of the names listed ahead of him.
Here are some noteworthy names listed ahead of him that year.
Jimmy Clausen Ryan Mallett Aaron Corp Tyrod Taylor Cam Newton Kellen Kiilsgaard Kellen Moore Jason Munns Ronnie Fouch Ryan Lindley Nick Foles Ryan Tannehill
There are a few other names I recognize from past recruiting, but they never panned out to much of anything.

Simply awesome. Only two starters (Newton and Tannehill) out of that whole bunch. Russell is man.

The coolest thing about that video? It was posted in August of 2006. Obviously, Wilson was making an impression on people even as a 2 star high school recruit.
