Passing yards are the only stat that matters for QB's.

That's what I've been told at least.

HSF: Irvin
HSB: can't think of anyone, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tate took a step back. He seemed a little butt hurt about Harvin being signed. Plus, this team has a TON of weapons, naturally he'll get less touches.

I feel like having Harvin in the slot or out of the backfield only opens up space for Tate. I don't really see them as the same player. They're both just great at breaking tackles. PC seemed to confirm this thought at Harvin's press conference when he seemed genuinely confused when asked if he thought he was getting a Harvin-like player when they drafted Tate. Said he saw Tate as a wide receiver, which means he looks at Harvin a little differently (probably more of a hybrid player like Bush at USC/NOLA).

Think Tate can still rack up 700-800 yards or more, even with Harvin as a key piece in the offense.

HSF: Thurmond! Love this kid. Needs to stay healthy, but am I the only remembering he being our best cb? Now that's a scary thought!

HSB: hmm, love big Red but thinking his lack of pressure begins to be tiresome.

Ps, the most interesting player story line to me is Tate. I don't think he's just going to lay down and give up his "most dynamic playmaker" crown to Harvin. Can't wait!!

This was my thought as well when reading page 1. Can't believe it took until page 2. Instead I'll go with...

HSF: Bruce Irvin.... into opposing QB's faces.

HSB: Earl Thomas... in order to pick off the resulting errant passes. 8)

Would Red be taking a step back or us just reevaluating what we want him to be?
