No. He had 2 moves he used all season. After working with Quinn and I suspect input from the new guys I am sure he will do very well

As far as I remember
Irvin had sacks in
2x GB 2x Jets 2x Carolina .5x-Cowboys
1.5-Idk.
These 4 teams have one of the worst OL.
But

Not worried a bit, in fact i felt Irvin had a great rookie season for someone the media tore apart when we selected him.

Not at all. These signings make it clear that he will not be relied on to be an every down player but rather stay a pass rush specialist, which he can excel at. He is going to have to earn his snaps though!

I thought he did rather well considering the circumstances against a tough team with a very good left tackle. Did anyone expect him to dominate?

The good news is that there are less than a handful of teams that feature their running game prominently. The bad news is that one of them happens to be our division rival. He wouldn't have been able to start in this league maybe even five years ago. But nowadays, rushing the passer is the defensive end's primary job. With the addition of Bennett, it may be the plan to still use Irvin primarily on passing downs only, especially against certain matchups.

Well ya think with Clem, Bennett and Avril on board and Irvin they will be able to show the youngster a few veteran tricks going forward. That set of 4 players on the ends is a track team going to the QB. If we can get a guy that pushes the middle hard and makes a double team happen it will be a party where the QB sets up. They are really smart to get guys that can run as well, Read option and roll outs is going to have guys that can fly cutting off angles.

The only thing that worries me is the chance that he doesn't get better. If he doesn't get better, he'll be a valuable part time contributor that will probably leave in free agency after his rookie deal is up (2016 offseason). Until then, he'll be a bargain contributor per dollar, even if he isn't a 3 down player.
Basically, it's all upside for Irvin. Even his "disappointment" potential outlook is better than your average 1st round pick. Last year Melvin Ingram and Shea McClellin looked like guys that are hoping for 8 career sacks, and Irvin had that in his first season.

He's already safe as our biggest bust, miles ahead of Curry already.

I think he did exactly what he set out to do, and did everything the coaches expected him to do. 8 sacks is a nice year for the young man, and I bet he learned A LOT this year about what it's going to be like playing in the NFCW.
Can't wait to see what weapons he walks away with from the off-season.

Youth is on his side. Bruce has a long way to go and a lot of coaching up to be done in the off season. Not worried at all, Seattle has a fine coaching staff. Bruce isn't even close to reaching his potential at this point in time. Just sit back and enjoy the show, it's gonna be a fun ride to the top.

Teams will figure out that they have to run where Irvin was playing, just like how the Seahawks went after Aldon Smith in the 49ers game when Justin Smith was out. well he did'nt get blown off the line everytime and with a full offseason workout program + expierence will help Irvin this year also i think he had some nerves messing with his performance thinking to much instead of read n react but should improve this year.

He's gained ten pounds of muscle and will have received more coaching. He'll be even better in year two.

Teams will figure out that they have to run where Irvin was playing, just like how the Seahawks went after Aldon Smith in the 49ers game when Justin Smith was out. The whole line was terrible against the run in those games, Bryant's injury was clearly a factor, but we were giving up swathes of yards to the Redskins (admittedly a very good rushing team) before Clemons went down.

Not yet. He did fine as a rotational rookie. I expect him to learn somethings from the fellas and come out full throttle.

I am. Last year he didn't have any moves and I didn't even see him attempt any moves. Every down he just tried to beat his guy around the edge. I'd be encouraged if I saw him attempt a swim or spin or anything but he never did. He needs to hire dwight to teach him a thing or two.

It's pretty unusual for a rookie DE to come out and even do as well as he did.... Clemons didn't do really well until he came to Seattle in his 6th year. With the addition of Avril and Bennett, the production of all DE's should go up even if Irvin doesn't improve much.
Irvin rocks, not worried at all.

Why the hell would I be worried about the rookie sack leader who has all the physical tools in the world and some of the best defensive coaches in the league on his team? I'm freaking excited. This kid is gonna be a BEAST! For a long long long time
