If only Crazy Al were still alive. We probably could have fleeced him for 3 first round picks.

If Bob says so, then it's as good as done. Get your Matt Flynn Raider jerseys ready...

Al would NEVER have been interested in Flynn.

How's this for a trade: Matt Flynn for Terrell Pryor and a late round pick.

Gives us the Russell Wilson like (at least in athletic ability) backup that Pete supposedly craves.

Logically speaking, I would not be shocked if this happens. They need a QB and their GM was with Greenbay when Flynn was there so I see the connection there.

I don't get it - can someone confirm Flynn's 40 time? Everyone knows that is the only thing the raiders care about :)

I'd actually be ok with that. I think maybe.

Given what McKenzie has said about not looking to trade away draft capital, I think it's safe to say that if Oakland is in on Flynn, we're probably talking a later pick.

Don't forget, the Raiders front office made a ridiculous move after he croaked. There's still hope.

I like it

Pryor's salary for the next two years (bonus)

2013: $595,000 ($40,700)
2014: $645,000 ($61,100)

If Holmgren goes there too then I will have called this and Percy Harvin. Where do I apply for a GM job? Why am I studying for these finals? (jk) :sarcasm_off:

I'd be thrilled with that trade. I would consider Pryor for Flynn straight up to be a good move.

Me too, though I don't know if they'd do it, Raiders hq have been repeatedly quoted as being high on Pryor.

We're going to need to move Flynn now that we're going to (over)pay for Harvin. He'll eat up all the cap room by himself.

Incarcerated Bob has a terrible reputation but wasn't he actually first with the news that Sidney Rice woudl sign with the Hawks? I may not remember that correctly

If we couldn't get Pryor, is there anyone else worth trading for on their team? I honestly don't follow them at all.

Fitzpatrick released in Buffalo. So they're in the market for a starting QB as well. Although I have a feeling they'll go with a rookie.

If this goes down it'll be because either Palmer wouldn't restructure or they just cut bit with him send send him packing.

Why would we trade for a more unproven QB than the one we already have?

I say ship Flynn to the Raiders and get our 3rd round draft pick back from the Harvin trade.

Except that nobody knows what the compensation would be. Could be a 3rd rounder, like you say, but that's hoping for what may not be possible.

Because we get the Flynn contract off the books

Because we get a guy that did ok starting for the raiders for pretty cheap on the bench and he is a natural fit to RW as backup

fits perfectly and much cheaper than what we have that does NOT fit in our system now

In that phone recorded prank Nix mentioned that he had just 6 picks was very hesitant to part with any of them. Said that adding picks, not subtracting them was a priority. And this is before Buffalo trades up to get Smith or Barkley, too.

If we did trade with Buffalo, it would probably be a player swap or perhaps involve a future late round pick.

Nix is on the hotseat in Buffalo. I would trade Flynn for 2014 picks, Nix might just give them away a lot easier. Maybe even a pick that gets you in the Clowney stakes.

Incarcerated Bob? He, like many others, seems to spout off a lot of "opinions", once in awhile some of them are even accurate. However, to me that is like throwing shit against the wall and eventually some of it does stick and then incarcerated Bob can take the "credit" for his amazing insight.
Kinda like the pro football tip-line guys that charge for their tips (which are really guesses) and they are lucky if they get 60-65% of their picks correct.

Just that he is currently number 1 on the charts in Buffalo right now and he is happy for him(don't think it will last long however). Baldwin did real well when TJack was our QB.

Incarcerated Bob is a fraud. Just flat out guesses things and hopes they stick.

Nothing to see here until a legit source reports anything.

If all of his past predictions have been flat-out guesses, then he's got the force on his side. He has whiffed on some big ones, but he has also been the first to nail some big ones; and not just obvious ones.

If all of his past predictions have been flat-out guesses, then he's got the force on his side. He has whiffed on some big ones, but he has also been the first to nail some big ones; and not just obvious ones.

Honestly... he is a classic fraud. He's gone through absolutely hundreds of things. He hedges his bets (this being a great example). The guy is just some character who used to ring up New York sports phone ins and got a little bit of popularity. He's a classic legend in his own lunchtime.

What's more, he's also has this bizarre betting syndicate and about 25 twitter accounts all promoting it, working as if they are 'punters'. It's also been proven that he's 'bought' twitter followers (why the hell would anyone do that?) to bolster his reputation.

Trust me, he's nobody. No contacts, no legitimate background in sports. He tries to break stories in everything... football, MLB, NBA. Who does that? Not even Jay Glazer. For all the bull he puts out there, he'd have to be the defining journalist of his generation to be legit, given everything he pontificates on.

Pretty much. There is no doubt that he is well sourced. The problem is that he throws out every little thing he hears with reckless abandon which causes him to have questionable credibility.
