before anyone gets excited, the reason our odds are so good is because we were such long odds to start the season and haven't really shortened up until the past few weeks. Vegas stands to lose a lot of money if we win it so they don't want any more money on seattle.

I wonder if Nate Silver had anything to do with Vegas Odds shifts, that guy is amongst the statistical elite. (Total Speculation)

Exactly, I think Seattle started out at 75/1 so if someone put money down on that Merry Christmas if Seattle gets it done.

I don't remember seeing 75:1 odds anywhere, at least not on actual books. I put down money on 30:1 odds in late April, and those were the best we could find in Vegas. I could be wrong though, maybe someone got lucky with 75:1 odds.

I have a 75:1 ticket purchased at a book on March 3rd 2012. This is NOT a Largent80 story. Several people here have seen the ticket.

That is awesome, and a great story to tell if/when the Hawks win it all.

I got in at 30/1 the week before the season started. Hoping for a big win. Go Hawks!

I got $20 down for them to win the NFC at 60/1 odds. $1200...just 2 more wins.

Whatever you do, don't bet on anyone at those odds. They're charging a ridiculous vig on all those teams. According to this, the current Vegas Super Bowl odds are:

Denver Broncos 3/1
New England Patriots 7/2
San Francisco 49ers 5/1
Green Bay Packers 7/1
Atlanta Falcons 8/1
Seattle Seahawks 8/1
Houston Texans 20/1
Baltimore Ravens 20/1

The Seahawks are 3/1 to win the NFC Championship, so maybe the OP saw that and mixed up win Super Bowl odds with reach Super Bowl odds. Otherwise the Orleans is just charging a ridiculous vig compared to the other casinos.

Curious when and where?

I put 20 down at Ceasers in August at 40-1 for Superbowl. How did you get 60-1 for a NFC Championship?

There is some validity to this for sure, but I don't know that they would stand to lose a lot of money... I can't imagine there was a ton of money put on Seattle to win the SB to begin with. Now with all the hype/excitement surrounding Seattle now I'm sure the money is pooring in and they're hedging.

Congrats, and I didn't. Somebody else had 60-1.

I have 75-1 Super Bowl.

I have 33-1 NFC.

Each was placed in a casino on March 3. I have an additional NFC wager at 20-1.

I'm certain Largent80 probably has Seattle to win any game at 200-1.
