Its plays like that the other players on the team see and say "Wow, our rookie QB plays balls to the wall every damn play, I personally OWE it to him to do the same". Any time someone thinks about dogging it or taking a second off, plays like that are going to be there in their mind and force them to keep going hard. And it is infectious. Marshawn sees that, then next practice makes a play like that, and KJ Wright takes note, and it just snowballs.
Also, on a similar note, I think that is why this team is coming together so well is because of things like that. They aren't going hard just for themselves, they are going hard for the guy that sits at the locker next to them.
