........the ability to come from behind.

We've never, and I repeat NEVER have had a team that could consistently come from behind and win a game, regular season or playoff. This includes the Holmgren era teams.

I don't know how many times I sat on my couch the past 30+ years and had that sinking feeling that once we got down, it was over because we didn't have;

- The defense to hold the other team in check for our offense to do something
- A dynamic no panic QB that could make things happen
- A tough as nails mentality that the game's never out of reach because we're just flat out tougher and better than the other team
- A positive coaching staff that never let their players believe they're out of a game

IMO this is THE most hopeful and amazing part of the 2012 Hawks going forward, win or lose in Atlanta. We now have the pieces in place to come from behind and win late. THAT my friends makes me happier than any other stat you can throw out.

That is all

RW's only part of the equation IMO. A big part, but the other things I mentioned also go into the ability to come from behind. My reason for this thread is simple, hope. All any sports fan wants is hope........and this team gives that to us, and for that I'm grateful.

This game reminded me of the 2007 playoff game against Green bay.

You know, when we went up 14-0 in the 1st Quarter only to get our butts handed to us the rest of the game.

It was nice to be on the other side of it for once.

This is what I'm talking about, especially on the defensive side. Those soft finesse defenses of the Holmgren era drove me crazy, cause you knew they didn't have the toughness to break the will of the other team like this defense does.

You could see that yesterday in the 2nd quarter when the Skins players started dropping like flies after getting pounded.

I agree with the OP. In the past, when we were down 2 TDs early, I'd keep the game on, but I would find something else to do around the house while listening/watching. I could not sit there and agonize over the lack of resolve to overcome adversity.

These days, I'm glued to the screen every second because I know this team can do anything at any time.

The combination of the positive, non-judgmental philosophy that has been instilled over the past 3 years and the playmakers who have bought into it, has most definitely separated this 2012 team from those previous.

That's exactly what I told my buddy at halftime in this game. If felt exactly like that. This team, unlike any in the past, does not know how to give up. They believe they can come back from a big deficit, and they do.

Our defense has the kahunas to make stops when we need it the most. Pretty nice knowing we have that safety blanket.

Haha, best part is, that WAS our biggest deficit of the year. 14 points. What a year so far man.

Totally agree. Our D has an off-day and we give up 14 points! LOL. We are a tough team top to bottom.
