  • Tough to say. Our defense was better then but not our offense. Though for the last 3 quarters...RGIII was no more effective than Mark Brunell in 05.

  • I say yes, because I don't think they start in a 14-0 hole. Lot of vets on that team.

I think our slow start was in large part because of how young we are.

  • The 05 team would have scored more points and right from the start.

Their type of short pass/runaftercatch would have killed the skins.

  • All I remember is Josh Brown missing a field goal and we lost......so my vote is no.

  • Our 2005 defense was pretty good too lets be fair, they would have got a lot of pressure on RGIII and he'd probably have been out of the game a lot earlier.

But how much would that field have effected our short passing game? Can't be sure.
Certainly our O-Line would have allowed a lot less pressure.

    I think it's a similar result though

  • 2005 team is really underrated. They had an offense that could do whatever it wanted to you whennever it wanted. Defensively, the 05 team matches up with this team pretty well, maybe its been a while but its extremely underrated around here.

05 - lead the league with 50 sacks
    12 - 35 sacks

05 - allowed 3.6 yards per carry rushing
12 - allowed 4.5 yards per carry rushing

    05 - allowed a 58% completion, 16 picks, 6.8 yards per attempt, opponent QB rating of 77.4
    12 - allowed a 58% completion, 18 picks, 6.2 yards per attempt, opponent QB rating of 71.8

    05 - allowed 5069 total yards, 271 total points, and 23 combined passing/rushing TDs
    12 - allowed 4899 total yards, 245 points, and 23 combined passing/rushing TDs

2005 team was also a superbowl team
