  • If we keep Irvin in then Ryan will be hosed. With the blitz's we pulled off against the Foreskins with Griffin out it won't be pretty for Atlanta. It will be another close game by I think we have the advantage. Plus, I have a good friend who is an Atlanta fan, and he is terrified of their chances against us.

This is not exactly original material. I think something similar's been said by a fan from every team we've played this year. It hasn't happened yet, and I see nothing magical about Atlanta to suggest that's going to change next week. In fact, it kinda feels like you're whistling in the dark...

To be fair, Wilson made a few "rookie" mistakes during tonights game. Throwing a potential interception that Baldwin (or maybe Tate?) had to come back and knock down comes to mind immediately.

The Seahawks were just the better team.

  • I can't wait to see Sherman vs. Julio Jones. I seriously CAN NOT wait.

I think this will be an awesome game, but unless Jaquizz or Turner have big games Seattle's going to win. You can't pass on Seattle's D like you can the NFC south.

Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Eli Mannings vs Mike Nolan's Schemes:

    1 TD, 10 INTs...

It's original because no other fanbase can say their defense stifled 3 SB Champions to that level.

Again, the Falcons weren't playing for anything in that game. They came in with a vanilla gameplan, hoping TB would hurt themselves and give us the win. This is the same team that blanked the defending SB Champs after they just dropped 50 points the week before.

I used to be worried about Browner, but even in his rusty state the dude gets inside the heads of receivers by mangling them (legal or otherwise) and throws them off their games. If Sherman and Browner play the press as well as they have when they're on, Ryan's going to have a lot of disrupted timing. I see what Browner gets away with and I'm pretty amazed the refs don't call him a lot more.

  • Meh, Falcons have one of the worst run games in the league. Can't be one dimensional against powerful, mouth punching defenses. Patriots have a much better run game and arguably a better pass game and they weren't a problem.

we gave them a 14 point head start on an intentionally poorly maintained field.

you can't just pick and choose your games against opposition, Brees also rinsed you for 3 TDs this season.

sure you picked off Manning 3x in the 2nd game of the season, but I bet that wouldn't happen with him now, and seeing as Wilson finished with a better QB rating than the other 2 this season, I've no reason to think he won't outperform them, just as he outperformed Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady too

  • Ryan is a good QB but lets be real here he does have the scrambling ability like RG3 so I think its silly to apply the first qtr today to next weeks game. Second Browner was rusty but he still got it done and now has another week to brush off the cobwebs. I'll admit though having White, Julio, and Gonzales still worries me. Run game doesn't concern me to much. Rodgers could make some plays but Turner is slow and our defense should be able to close in on him. Looking forward to a good game.

  • Torris wrote:RG3 moved the ball well against your defense until he got hurt. He couldn't throw or run after that and that kind of dictated the game. If the Hawks don't have Clemons, it'll be even easier on Ryan. I don't see rusty Browner hanging with Julio for 60 minutes. Overall, I think our offense should have a good outing against your defense. I'm just worried about Marshawn Lynch. If he gets into our secondary, he is going to have a good chance to score a TD no matter where the Hawks are at on the field. Most of our secondary doesn't like to wrap up, they just love to hit, and Lynch will probably be able to just bounce off of them.

When it comes down to it, I think Mike Nolan will come up with a scheme that forces Wilson into a few rookie mistakes, and the Falcons win the Game 28-17. I'll bookmark this thread just in case we lose, so I can come back and eat crow. But I won't have to. 8)

wow, gee..... we've never ever heard any of this before..... i forgot Wilson is a rookie, seeing how he's got 17 NfL games under his belt..... but ya i'm sure you're team can force him into a few rookie mistakes.... i would eventually like to see this... uugghhh another week of this sh*t.

That's what everyone else who's played seattle this year thought too. Russell Wilson is no rookie. In his own mind, and in his demeanor and his play on the field, he has already been there, done that. He will be prepared.

If you are expecting Wilson to lose this game for the hawks, you'll be in for a day of disappointment.

Even Mike Nolan would tell you that facing an elite rushing attack, especially one that can run a zone read option pretty well, forces him to call an honest game and will not let him get crazy with wacky coverages and blitzes. None of the three above teams were that good at running the ball this year, and certainly none of them present the running threat at quarterback that your Falcons will face next Sunday.

  • Been dreaming of this matchup against ATL since I saw they were the #1 seed...that pathetic SOS and home crowd you have doesn't scare me for one second.

This game is going to get ugly for Atlanta FAST! They had their starters in against TB last week and got beat...by Freeman and TB! LMAO!

Come on OP.. You guys are weak, and you know it! With our exact schedule, you'd be 9-7 or worse...and to say we're going to lose by 11 is just plain ignorant. We've been within a TD at the end of every loss.

This game will make the other 3 teams left after next week s*** a collective brick when they see what we do to you guys at that pathetic dome you call a home...

Ryan might move the ball well until he gets hurt, too. Let's consider that word... "hurt". I know you don't think WRs arms get shorter as a game goes on. Watch a few of Griffin's misses. In the first qtr, those balls are likely caught. But as the game wears on, "hurt" comes more and more into play. QBs rush their throws and WRs are in no rush to catch them.

This is not exactly original material. I think something similar's been said by a fan from every team we've played this year. It hasn't happened yet, and I see nothing magical about Atlanta to suggest that's going to change next week. In fact, it kinda feels like you're whistling in the dark...

Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Eli Mannings vs Mike Nolan's Schemes:

    1 TD, 10 INTs...

It's original because no other fanbase can say their defense stifled 3 SB Champions to that level.

It's inspiring that your defense did so will against 3 immobile QBs who all hold the titles of best player on their own respective offensive unit.

Sadly for the Falcons, Seattle's QB is NOT immobile. Furthermore, though he may be the best of the rookie QBs, he is not the best player on our offense. That honor belongs to Marshawn Lynch.

I beg your team to spend it's gameplan on shutting down the PASSING game of Russell Wilson. Beastmode will kill you with the run game if Wilson doesn't do it himself with his legs.
Unlike the QBs you mentioned, Russell Wilson is just fine with running for 30 yards if nobody is open and the pocket collapses.

Hope you guys enjoyed your BYE.
