Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was named the recipient of the 2012 Steve Largent Award, which is voted on annually by the players. The award is given to the player who best exemplifies the spirit, dedication and integrity of the Seahawks. The Largent Award is named after Seahawks Hall of Fame wide receiver Steve Largent, the first winner of the honor in 1989.

Haven't seen it posted so sorry if this is a repost. Either way this is really cool for Russell Baggins.

Pretty big statement about what kind of respect his teammates have for the rookie.

Mack Strong won it 3 times in a row and 5 times total.

Another record that Wilson is bound to break.

Wilson seems to have had that effect everywhere he's been.

I don't recall this big of a sports love affair in Seattle since Lenny Wilkens
walked on water in 1979.
