After time to think from a long drive home, some facts

The Essential Online Seahawks Fan Forum Community. There simply is NO substitute. RATING: PG-13
  • So, when the game was over I was kinda pissed at our play by both the offense and defense. However, after thinking about it and looking at the numbers, it turns out we weren't that bad. Take a look:

    Offense:

    5 of 12 3rd down conversions 42%
    TOP - 32.49 Min
    QB 15/19 (78.9%) for 250 yards 1 TD zero Int's and a 136.3 Passer Rating and 65.7 QBR
153 yards rushing on 30 att for 5.1 ypa
2-3 in Red Zone opps (66%)
Lynch 18 att for 100 yards and a 5.6 ypa
Golden Tate, 3 rec for 105 yards
    Zero turnovers committed.
362 total yards (less sack yardage)

    Defense:

    2-11 3rd downs conversions allowed 18%
only 4 Rushing 1st downs allowed.
    Zero rushing TD's allowed
    Bradford 25/42 (59.5%) for 252 yards, 1 TD, 1 Int, and a 74.7% Passer Rating and 69.0 QBR
    79 net rushing yards
Allowed only 13 points, a full point below our league leading average
    6.0 yards per passing att
    27:11 TOP

Anyway, once I took a look at all that, I realize, maybe I was just expecting another blowout and it skewed my expectations for the game. All in all, we didn't play all that bad after all and we did win the game.

  • It was an extremely frustrating game, and it didn't help that it was tense throughout. Credit to the Rams for putting together an excellent gameplan. Fortunately, Seattle is just more talented and executed down the stretch and it shows up in the stats.

  • We need more pass rush, IMO. Whenever we pressured Bradford, he turned to crap. At least that seems like our only need really.

  • Thank you kind sir! What were your impressions of the oline play? Did you get to see Sidney at all? I'm guessing that he is still a bit gimpy and was used as a decoy today.

They have been intentionally holding back until the playoffs....maybe even the Super Bowl.
