I wanted Dallas in the Wild Card. If we get the Skins, this is where having our First team D practice our First team O could really pay off. I know it was felt that Pete doing this was "out of the box" and somewhat irregular for the NFL, but it may pay off big against the Skins if we do indeed get them in a week.

It would be awesome for us if the Cowboys can win this game. They have a TON of injuries. Miles Austin AND Dez Bryant are both hurt now, too.

Keep in mind that Pete was looking at footage of RG3 and stole some of the stuff the skins were doing with him and implemented it with Wilson.

So that could help too... makes it easier to defend when you run it too.

Skins probably run the zone read option better than anyone. However, I like our defense against that type of offense. If we key on it, prepare for it, like we did against Carolina earlier this year we should be able to contain them. I think we gotta smash RGIII in the mouth too; remember he has a gimpy knee. He needs to pay if he chooses not to slide on his runs.

They are a blitz happy defense, a reflection of their d-coordinator. Whereas Dallas is piss poor at countering the blitz I think RW and Unger make them pay. Should be a fun game.

The skins read option is a lot more complex than Carolinas.

The only thing the winner of this game is going to get is a lower draft pick.

We can certainly beat either team but I'd like to play the Cowboys. They seem to be a lot more beat up right now, I think we would play better on the Cowboy turf and most of all, there are a few Cowboy fans I work with and would love to throw it in their face after the hawks destroy them in their stadium.

At lest both of these teams are beating the crap out of eachother's playmakers, not sure how long RG3's body will hold up in the NFL at this rate.

OK, 3:36 to go in the game and Cowpatties have the ball at their own 15 down only 3. Must be time for Romo to throw a pick and choke away another late season game.

...and Griffin will likely be gifted the ROTY. If my calcs are correct, Morris has twice as many rushing yds as Griffin has passing in this crtical game.

No doubt Cowboys playmakers are all beat up, better to play them....but looks like we'll be facing RGIII and that vaunted zone read option.

I expect Morris and RGIII to give our defense some fits.

I also expect them to become fairly one dimensional when Wilson and Lynch carve up their porous defense.

You talking about that roughing call? If so, it was more of a roughing than Earl's on Tannehill earlier this year when the Hawks played Miami. Not that you're wrong by the way.

I think having browner back will be huge, we can press and disrupt that go to slant play they love.

Yeah if Wilson played in any city but Seattle he would win Roy. You tie Manning's rookie record played more games and you lose. Sorry but I would hold off any roy honor till next week. Who ever wins head to head deserves it.

Not meaning to be argumentive, but our D faces a better QB and better RB every practice. We are going to smoke the Skins (IMO).

Holy crap I'm starting to get fired up already. Russell Wilson vs. RG3 in D.C., that's a long flight, but I it's the playoffs, if you aren't awake you never will be, this is going to be a fight.

I don't care if he's a rookie, I think Wilson already plays smarter than Romo and will handle the Reskins blitz, if Haslett goes with the same strategy.

One positive - remember the frustration watching Josh Wilson get beat over the years? We get to take advantage of that now :)

I have a feeling the Hawks will struggle with their running game...
But I think Russel will hang a bunch of points on the Skins defense!

Score early,
Score a lot

Force RG3 to throw down field into our 2ndary, which is our strength.

I've always been under the impression that the first team offense and the first team defense haven't faced each other since preseason.

I do agree that Wilson + Lynch > Morris + RGIII.

Philly twice, Dallas twice, Giants, Ravens and Browns once.

Win streak is impressive, opponents not so much.

Hold Morris under 100 and under 4.0 per carry for starters. I like our chances as the Hawks defense has really done a lot better vs. the run the last 4 games or so. RGIII is very limited physically right now with the knee so key on Morris. If Bevell plays Russ the way he did vs. St. L in the 2nd half by rolling him out to negeate their blitz, Hawks should score in the mid 20s or above.
