Damn, would I feel bad for Matt.

At least Tru and Leroy would have redemption.

We'd mail him a ring like how indy did for Edgrin James.

That would be a very cool move. 2 thumbs up if we get there, WIN, and do that for him. But the list shouldn't stop there. About the only players I'd hesitate at is trader Hutch and Etric freaking Pruitt.

I never thought of this.

I don't feel bad for him. He made his choice. And if he were still here, would the events of the past two years remained the same?

It would be cool if they mailed him a ring though. He's a class act and obviously one of the greatest Seahawks ever. I'm looking forward to him raising the 12thman flag in the NFC Championship game in a year or two.

Why?

Different era now, different team. Time moves on. Should we also give Shaun Alexander, Walter Jones and Mack Strong a ring?

Nah he turned us down. Forced us to waste a year on TJack and eventually spend money on Flynn. He might still be here if he would have wanted to be here.

No, but it sure puts you in a heck of a bargaining position....

He didn't make a choice to leave the team. They called him and said they wouldn't be signing him when he still hoped that he was going to play for us for the '11 season. Remember that he led the team workouts during the lockout offseason. It was heartbreaking hearing him on the radio (B&S I think?) talking about driving by the facility while the Seahawks were practicing, and he was on his way to the airport to get to Tennessee.

You could say that he chose not to retire, though.

I have been thinking this a lot - that when we do win a Super Bowl, I will be sad that #8 wasn't along for the ride.

I totally agree with the sentiment that this is a different team and it's a much better team. Better now than the '05 team was at its peak, and way way way more upside. More upside in the players, and way more upside in the front office that is just going to keep feeding the roster more Pro Bowlers.

"IF" we won the Super Bowl....I would be pissed that not one of the season's games were against the Steelers....I'm still holding a grudge....

...I'm just sayin'

As far as Hesselbeck, I also feel bad for the guy. He's still one of my favorite QBs and would still sport his jersey.

Along with Alexander, Porkchop, Warner, and Tez.

...Now Josh Brown on the other hand...THAT fool messed up on a good thing....

I'd feel worse for Big Walt. A guy that incredibly good deserved at least one ring.

...and Tez
At least both will be sporting Seahawks jerseys in the HOF. :)

Perhaps, but I'd be willing to give it a shot.
