The pro bowl rosters will be announced tomorrow and not counting alternates, how many pro bowlers will the Seahawks get. I'm going with 5: Marshawn lynch , Russell okung, max unger, Richard Sherman and earl Thomas. Although I think we won't have anyone playing in the actual game because the players from the two Super Bowl teams don't play in the pro bowl.

I think greater than 5 somehow. Maybe add MRob to your list.

The ruling on the appeal comes in on the Thursday, the pro bowl voting already happened and the rosters will be announced tomorrow so Sherman is still eligible for the pro bowl when the rosters are released tomorrow however browner is not eligible for the pro bowl

INCORRECT (maybe?) My understanding is the honor would be revoked from any player testing positive for banned substances. But my understanding is not absolute in this case. I acknowledge that.

Last year Seattle ended up having 5 pro-bowlers as many of their alternates ended up getting called on. The Pro-bowl is a popularity contest, but here are the players I think deserve consideration:
Deserving of all-pro:
Richard Sherman (1st team) Marshawn Lynch (2nd team)
Deserving of pro-bowl:
Russell Wilson Russell Okung Max Unger Michael Robinson Earl Thomas Kam Chancellor Bobby Wagner
Ineligible:
Brandon Browner
Fringe consideration:
Chris Clemons Brandon Mebane KJ Wright Jon Ryan
Have no chance but will be better than some guys who will get in:
Sidney Rice Zach Miller Steven Hauschka

The other thing about the voting is it largely took place before the Seahawks exploded. I'm not terribly optimistic about having a lot of Pro Bowl representation.

Okung, Lynch, Sherman, Thomas will get in IMO.
Unger probably won't but should be there.
When all the injuries etc play out, Mike Rob, Kam, Browner and Wagner might be there too.

Unlike last year he actually got burned/fooled a few times in support of deep throws (Wes Welker, Titus Young, etc), and he hasn't really put up all-pro stats. He's really valuable on an elite defense, but if he was all-pro it would be a reputation pick. Not that I would complain. Safety is often a reputation pick.

Everything about the Pro Bowl is retarded, and it's a shame that the number of Pro Bowl appearances a player has has such a big impact on his chance of entry to the HOF. Voting should start the day after the season ends and should run for one month and then the teams would be announced at the Superbowl. The game could then be played a week or two later or maybe even before the start of the following season (instead of the Hall of Fame game perhaps). I would scrap the fan vote as well so it's less of a popularity contest, every year a dozen or so players get in on reputations forged in previous seasons and it makes the whole process a joke.

Indeed, but what safety in the league hasn't been burned a few times this season?

Lynch is a shoo-in. Ditto Sherman. Beyond that it's a crapshoot. I'll go with Okung & MRob getting in too because someone has to open the holes for the Beast. I'll say that's it, though others are deserving, e.g. Wright, Unger, Wilson.
