  • Sidney per multiple tweets. In a boot, won't practice today, MRI clean and won't prevent him from playing Sunday, but very sore etc...

  • Definitely Rice. Tate is fine.

I had posted this, but deleted it when saw this thread....

According to Pete's press conference, they didn't find out until after the weekend game, that Rice has a bruised foot. Today he's in a boot. Pete said the Xrays all seemed fine, so no serious or long term problem, but as of today they have no idea if he'll be able to go this week.

Something to keep an eye on this week. Rice and Tate are two guys I think we really need to continue our offensive success

Pete said he couldn't say whether or not he'd play this week, only that they didn't see signs of anything serious in tests. I'd guess he will play, but he's wearing a boot today, and until that comes off there is no guarantee

  • Rice has been one of the most important pieces of our Offense this year. Losing him would be a HUGE blow.

  • Once we get a lead, they can just use Rice as a decoy. No need for him to actually take hits. :)

  • More throws to the TEs, Tate, Baldwin, Turbin out of the backfield. Get healthy Sidney, team needs you down the stretch.

  • It's pretty common place for athletes to wear these 'boots' for minor injuries these days. Think they pump hot and cold water around it or something. Not too familiar with them but I know a lot of the footballers over here wear them and still play at the weekend with no issues.

Actually, we need him more for SF. Not to "overlook" Buffalo, but our other weapons are probably enough for them, don't you think?

  • Well, according to ESPN stats (http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics) Buffalo's Defense is pretty darn good against the pass. BUT... they stink against the run. So maybe, with or without Rice, we'll see The Beast a lot.

  • Wonder if Evan Moore can slide out and help fill the spot with Baldwin? Charlie Martin has been inactive or limited playing time since the opener. Maybe Phil Bates gets a chance?

Hope this isn't a nagging injury like Big Red's.

I'd give the same odds for Jennifer Lawrence showing up naked in my Christmas stocking as Evan Moore making the same contribution to the offense as Rice.

They have been pretty good the last four weeks against the run though...

Football Outsiders says the Bills defense just straight up sucks....

    http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef

But has seen a recent improvement. #26 non weighted, #21 weighted.

Pass defense #21, rush defense #25.

    BTW, they are #26 vs #1 receivers, #25 vs #2 receivers, #26 vs other receivers, #20 vs RB's, but #1 vs TE's.

Don't start Miller on your fantasy team folks.......
