I have wondered this a half dozen times. Do you think any of the players read the posts here? If so do think what we say matters to them at all?

Then I wonder if anyone here might actually be a Seahawk posting incognito and we don't even know it. Obviously they could never reveal that... But hey if any of you want to PM me to clue me in, I'll keep it a secret I promise!!

Yes, they do. I doubt they care too much what we spout off on, but I've known a few over the years that browse - and some contribute.

I'm sure there are a few curious eyes who want to know the general feel of the fans, but for the most part, I think if they come here, it's to laugh at the general ignorance.

Besides, considering how a number of normal posters tire of the bombardment by morons, it's got to be 10x worse if you're an actual player. So that's a situation worth avoiding lest you take it too personally and blow your cover.

Donnie Jones used to post here. He's a baby. We got in a good fight once, and I swear I could hear him "e-crying". Biggest whiner ever to be on this board by far. His post when he got cut was epic. A very close friend of mine was a VP with the Hawks (until he prematurely passed away a few years ago). He said he read the PI forum and this forum as well. He said he knew of a few players that did as well, but none that actually posted (to his knowledge). Now that I think about it, I recall him saying a players dad was posting in here. I can't recall who but I do know the dad was asked by the team to keep some things under the radar. My friend asked me to do the same (more than once) and it was hard to get inside stuff out of him without first promising I wouldn't post any of it. I miss him and I miss those days. GREAT times.

EDIT: If I'm not mistaken, I think the dad I reference above was the father of David Greene. I could be wrong on this, though.

crazy, as you might expect. If a coach or scout is browsing, at least a few players MUST be.

Man, I just edited my post, recalling the players dad was the father of David Greene. But now that you mention this, I think I recall him saying something about Dilfer's dad (or perhaps father in law?). Now I am unsure if I am getting this all messed up and perhaps it wasn't Greene's dad at all. I liked Dilfer (as a man) but niether he or Greene meant alot to me as QBs...so I could be mistaken.
