  • Could be preparing a roster spot for another CB is they think the suspensions are going to hold up.

I wonder if he thinks the people making the decisions in Seattle are also idiots (just like they are in New York).

If the suspensions hold up you can fill the roster spots that open up. Players on suspension don't count against the roster, so you would have 2 free spots during their suspension.

Edwards has been given limited opportunities this season, and that tells me that there's something going on behind the scenes that hasn't gone public. I've wondered all year about it, and assuming this report is true, it kind of makes me think that there truly was something going on.

Yeah, but do you want to wait until the players are actually suspended to bring in a guy? It'd make sense to me to bring in a CB now.

We are pretty deep in DB's this year. We carried more this year than we have in the past. Our starters are already on the team, anyone else will just be backups/emergency players. If they thought Edwards was worth keeping, he'd still be here. There is definitely more to this than replacements for a possible suspension.

Patriots td catch aside, he's yet to make a big play all season. He dropped td passes in the Arizona, 49ers game, and on Sunday (although it should've counted).

Wonder if we pick up Phil Bates or a CB?

  • He was cut because each of his targets we're tough, but realistic plays you should expect from a WR. Physically, he just cant do extra anymore.

Plus, the Seahawks FO and Jets FO seem to have a working relationship, which only added to inappropriate nature of his comments about Sanchez and the Jets.

Agree on both counts, actually. But, 2nd year Braylon would've made the underthrow a catch and not left that TD to the booth. IMO.

    I'm bummed about Carpenter.

  • He lost his job because on the underthrown deep ball from Wilson, he tried to body catch when the only play was to go get it with the hands. Forget the foux TD, that was the play that sealed his fate.

  • Was pissed this codger was even getting nine snaps. Give the reps to Kearse.

As for Carpenter, Also not much of a loss. The guy is still potential over productivity. Can't stay on the field. Once I saw Peppers knock him on his ass, I came to the conclusion he just isn't very good, but I keep hoping he is a Rd1 pick.

  • I think it had to do with the tweet and making a mockery of them basically, if your Richard Sherman and have been putting it up is one thing, if you are Edwards and not and running your mouth it's another. Kearse can get open and where he may drop the wide open balls at times he seems to catch everything in traffic and when it counts.
