Every year since PC and JS have been here they have added and subtracted players, I see a lot less roster churn then in recnet years. Is this because we are stablizing or is there just not that guy out there to fit in as a piece in the puzzle?

both.

Like at DT, or RG, or possibly RT, we are kinda stable there, but we waiting for that piece to come to us.

Looking back its amazing how bad the teams talent level was when Pete and John got here.I can only think of 2 or 3 positions that didn't need immediate upgrades.
Every unit was in need of rebuilding.
Finding players to upgrade D and F rated players is easier than upgrading B and C rated so there should be alot less churn.
Now we are in a position where only a few areas need talent upgrade.
God it's going to be nice going through the predraft buildup not having to talk QBs.

This team will start excelling when they can keep an entire offensive line together for a long stretch of games.

When you need a lot of improvement, it's easy to find improvement anywhere. When you get to the point where you're almost there, not only are the selections quite fewer, but the upgrade between what you have and possible replacements is also less.

Let's just hope that when the Seahawks start having less roster churn and fewer draft picks turn into starters because of the quality of the existing starters, people here don't start asking, "What's wrong with PC/JS? Why have their recent drafts sucked?!"

Okay, so maybe that pass rush is still an issue. Lather, rinse, repeat.

When the talent level reaches the point where the draft is just for replenishing talent lost through Free Agency, that is where roster construction gets tricky.

Knowing when to let that veteran walk is huge. These guys seem to handle that just fine but more data points needed. Lofa and Hawthorne being examples, though not to the level future choices will be.

It's both. When they started it was a lot easier to see which players fit their system and which didn't with more noticeable improvement.

Now, the available players that could offer an upgrade and fit into the cap space is diminished.

Every new coach and/or GM have a plan for success.........and that plan usually is different from their predecessor's plan. This means they want their own players to fit their plan in all facets of the team.

Carroll and Schneider's plan is a young nasty defense predicated on physicality and speed, and a no mistake ball control offense predicated on a physical offense line and punishing running back. This is vastly different than Holmgren and Mora's blueprint of success.........which IMO is why you saw so much turnover in the first couple of years.
