This looks like the latest thing and I really like the options it gives the coaches and players. I didn't see the Seahawks in the list of clubs that are using it, maybe they'll give it a look.

"digital playbooks like PlayerLync are increasing effective, real-time communication by allowing coaches and quarterbacks to add and share plays with the click of a button.

Every time new data, film or information is added, a banner alert pops up (like a text message), signaling players to view the updates.

And if they don’t log in? Coach could know, thanks to optional modules that can track when and how long a player views a play or file. There are also options that update calendars, ensuring the whole team remains on the schedule.

But the real benefit of PlayerLync might be with game film"

"Denver quarterback Peyton Manning says the app makes it easier for the video guys to dispatch footage to different players, giving them no excuse not to study game film."

They haven't done it yet because iPads are pieces of crap. This is Microsoft Country where we expect products that make business sense, not pretty pictures and smooth curvy lines.

if theres a question on whether or not a player hasn't done his homework or isn't comprehending what needs to be addressed players should be required to hand in a dissertation of the up coming opponent, something quick and easy just to make sure;

A. the player has a full understanding of what he's up against in terms of capacities and,
B. the player knows what his assignments adjustments and plays are going to be for said game

cant believe what I am seeing in the Saints this Thursday not only in terms of preparation, but player performance?

how is it a TE that is assigned to black a specific player for a specific run play and pattern is NOT going to habve enough awareness to know if his man is capable of making a play? then not only do you not block your man right you try to improvise with an illegal move and your player was never going to make the tackle, COMPLETELY out of the play!!

we have all witnessed Seahawk players getting fouls called on them when they are completely away and out of the play, holdings, interference, personal fouls, whatever and the player they came in contact with was never going to impact the play? man

know your assignment the play and else ifs, then as the play unfolds have some player awareness, where is everyone else? asses, what do I really need to do here? reversing 6 points cuz you held a player that wasn't ever going to make the tackle is real annoying.. jeeez

lol. This isn't 1999.

Anyways, Seahawks should definitely use these apps. Any coach who doesn't buy into the new technologies is at a disadvantage.

The players get their playbooks on iPads, as well as game film. If an iPad is lost it gets wiped remotely.

You can't be serious?

They did a story this season that mentioned that the players and coaches are given iPads with plays and breakdowns on them...
