  • Pretty sure that is just here, and only a couple of posters.

    Kinda cool, though.
Talent can get you to the playoffs.
It takes character to win when you get there.

  • Sherman also provided the voice-over work on Michael Bay's Transformers 2. Not sure why the nickname took so long to come around, seemed obvious.

  • Per Wikipedia, Optimus Prime is "secretly plagued by self-doubt and a conflicted sense of pacifism that often makes him an extremely reluctant warrior."

Doesn't sound as though sherman really thought this thing through too much.

Maybe the John Wayne handle was already taken.

In the real Transformers, Megatron kills Optimus. He is later defeated by Rodimus Prime (of whom we shall not speak).

So, yes, I'm saying that Sherman has picked a metaphor in which he is doomed to failure.

  • Per this Transformers Forum http://tfarchive.com/community/showthread.php?t=30333

    "Megatron's only weakness...
is cream cheese, in Season 2 (part2 for dvd owners) where Tracks gets smashed up and that guy fixes him up episode. near the end, Megatron picks up the little guy and when Megatron is bartering with the Autobots, the kid just flips open Megatron's chest and sprays cream cheese in there, then Megatron just falls over. I was laughing incredibly hard, but then a sudden depression fell upon me as now one of my favourite villians just fell to a product by Kraft."

    Sherman is now "Cream Cheese"

  • I don't know what's worse - the fact that Sherm took his nickname from a terrible Michael Bay film, or that a bunch of Poindexters thought that the 24 year old Sherman took his name from a 30 year old comic and used it as opportunity to debate plot points from those comments on the basis that internet anonymity allows them to do this without being shunned by all women forever.

  • In the original transformers prime and megatron killed each other in a battle to the death. In the battle prime OWNED megs and his entire army by himself as he normally always does.

Optimus Prime is a warrior built for the SOLE PURPOSE of defeating megatron.

Sounds like a pretty good choice for a monicker to me

I don't get why you feel the need to take yourself so seriously... The funny part of this is that Richard Sherman is probably a bigger nerd than everyone on this board combined. He was more excited for Skyrim last year than he was for the new Madden. I find it hilarious when someone on an internet message board feels the need to call out other people on an internet message board as "nerds" or as you said "poindexters." Pot...meet Kettle.
