Why the hell does he own us?

I thought this would be the year we finally stop this mother trucker (radio edit for the kids) and he still ran all over us.

Obviously a lot of the anger is directed at the offense right now, just don't understand how this guy owns us so badly.

He's a badass.

We did really good against him last year but it seems like every other time we've faced him he's had career days.

Our defense was tired. We held him pretty well in the 1st half. The Niners were well under their average at half time.

That's where it was at. There o-line completely dominated us imo.

Gore owns us because I only have a Steven Jackson voodoo doll.

Jeez, dude, I can't do it all

Gore looked like he had 2 rockets strapped to his back in that game. I can't remember the last time I saw a running back get through the line that fast.

We can't defend nor gameplan traps, which has been SF's bread and butter

Defense played an exhausting game vs NE, had 3 days rest and a vanilla game plan.
Then they gassed, quick hit dash/iso runs are designed to beat a tired defense and it did.

Line play combined with a huge, bruising running back. Gore's good. And he has a great offensive line blocking for him.

That's a pretty rosy way to look at it. Considering Gore only had 4 carries in the first half for 39 yards to sports a 9.75 ypc average.

Gore is not very big. He's like 5"9' 210 lbs.

Kendall Hunter is like 5'8" 200 lbs.

Brandon Jacobs is a big RB, but I don't think he played a snap.

Before todays game, last few games against gore:
2011 22 carries 59 yards 2.7 avg
2011 23 carries 83 yards 3.6 avg
2010 17 carries 38 yards 2.2 avg (he was injured the other game against us)
2009 9 carries 25 yards 2.8 avg
2009 16 carries 207 yards 12.9 avg

Ahh there it is, It's been a while since hes done anything to us at all actually, and that was against a terrible 09 team.

This. It's more about their O-line owning us than Gore himself.

Did you see the size of the lanes his O-line was consistently opening up? Yeah. Freeways.
