WT3 update

Officially gonna be another week 'till he gets activated it looks like.

Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond said he’s healthy and ready to play, but because of the short week will not be added to the active roster for Thursday’s game at San Francisco.

“I feel good,” Thurmond said. “I’m ready to get back out here. It’s been a year so I’m ready to go.

Thanks for the update. Pete said they'd make the decision today, and from the sounds of it, this was the decision I expected. We really have no time to practice this week, so making any major changes that aren't absolutely necessary, adds an element of risk to it. I think bringing him back next week with a full week (plus some) to practice will be more beneficial to us and himi.

Plus if you activate him now, they need to cut someone who is ready to play.
Good call IMHO…

Now if only he can stay healthy...

I don't think so. He should have a 2-3 week roster exemption IIRC.

IAE it's the right call. He wouldn't play Thursday anyway.

Once he is ACTIVATED, then yes, they have to cut someone to keep the roster at the appropriate number.
