What a lineup ..............
(On seeing Bobby Wagner, K.J. Wright, and Mychal Kendricks on the field together) “Yeah it’s a good thing. I’m real excited about that. I’ve never felt the opportunity to have that much experience at that spot [linebackers]. Mychal brings a lot of background and a lot of savvy and natural play and all that to go along with what Bobby and K.J. can do. There’s no question that this defense has a chance to be pulled right around.” -- Pete Carroll 7/28

And depth that can give starters a chance to catch their breath and stay fresh ...............

(On if Cody Barton is impressing him so far in camp) “Cody’s done everything right. He’s just been a joy. Hard-working, clear, smart, fast, hustles like crazy, and he’s been making plays. He knocked a ball down two days ago that was just the same pick there that he made, and that play right there is as good of a play as we’ve seen in a long time out here in full-speed tempo, it was great. So, he’s making a claim, we’re expecting him to really grow at the position. We know he can be a special teams player for us, we’re expecting him to be really an active part in all areas. We can’t hold him down, he just looks like he’s really on point.”--- Pete Carroll 7/28

................................ this group of linebackers could also make special teams ...... special again.

Damn solid group. Kendricks was impressive last year, just a really instinctive player. Add that to Wags and KJ? Dayum.

The only group not to be concerned with. With so many questions with the rest of the defense ; their workload may be stressed though. Good depth in the group.

Exactly...............AND with how the league is moving towards the college spread style of offensive schemes, having this sort of depth with 4-5 smart, fast and instinctual LB's in our stable is going to be critical with allowing time for the D-line and DB group to figure some things out.

Bottom line, if KJ can get back to being KJ this is going to be the best LB group in the league.

The best part of linebacker depth is moving Queem and Mingo to SAM and LEO where their skills are more suited.

Those 3 on the field at the same time, no way there is a better trio in the league. Especially covering ground and football instincts. These 3 guys are ALL very good.
