Indeed. Why oh why we weren't doing more play action before is one of the great mysteries of the Bevel years.

Anyways, Russ has the game for play action and with a much improved O-Line/running game it's placing a whole lot less on his shoulders and the entire offense is benefiting plus he's not getting hit as much.

Win-win-win...

The dark Bevell years of course. When Russ was getting killed.

The Beast years were the best years with or without Bevell. We had Beast, a strong O-line to give Beast the bit of room to go and protect a young still-learning QB, and then a defense that smashed opponents into oblivion.
