  • Yeah, it kinda seems like the underdog mentality sort of fertilizes Pete's message. Or, at least, it does with the sorts of young players Pete and John target in the draft.

    I hope that those young players that are highly motivated rub off on the guys that have been here a while and are on the verge of being great.

  • Precisely. You can't have one without the other. Disillusioned, aging veterans are kryptonite to Pete's system. It feeds off of a plethora of young AND hungry players with chips on their shoulders. It's how we ended up winning our first championship and will likely be how we win our next.
