Monday, Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin was awarded the Martin Luther King, Jr. Medal of Distinguished Service for his work in the South King County community. Baldwin received the medal from King County Councilmember Dave Upthegrove.

“Dr. King understood the importance of the opportunities athletes had to use their platforms for positive social change,” Upthegrove said. “Doug’s commitment to service in Renton and all of the communities in King County embodies that vision, and we are better for it.”

Jimmy Garoppolo at #90 says everything you need to know about the top 100, lol.

Happy Doug made it, but still continues to be insanely underrated.

Bruce Irvin is ranked #85. Impressive, especially for someone who will be battling for playing time against rookie Arden Key. Bruce has no dead money if traded or released in these final two years of his contract.

Jimmy Graham was on there last night as well.

#89

Being ahead of Doug Baldwin is a bit crazy.

Yep, considerably less yards and less touchdowns.

It's a popularity contest, let's be honest.

Yeah, you can't even sort of take that list seriously. But it's really fun to watch w/all the on field dialogue, and players talking about guys, highlights etc. Although, I always forward past players I can't stand and/or guys from the Rams/Cards/Niners.

Great! Good to keep that chip on his shoulder.

Agree. Would have been even better if he missed the list entirely IMO. :2thumbs:

It means on the average team he'd be considered the third-to-fourth best player. That doesn't feel like much of a slight.

Jimmy had more TDs this year. I think it's the name recognition and the fact that he final got to double digit TDs with us that caused Jimmy to be ranked higher.

I think the reason Doug was ranked so low is because we didn't use him enough and our whole offense had a down year. Honestly, if we just made throwing to Doug more of a priority, he would put up some disgusting numbers. He already showed he could with the TD tear he went on in '15.

Where do people think he should be on that list? At least he made it. Theres a lot of players in the NFL and just making the list should make people happy.

And Russell Wilson missed 4,000 yards by just 17. Seriously, why did we play for the FG in Week 17 when we could've got those two to those landmarks with a couple passes? Draft position I guess but damn.

I'll always remember Pete's face when Walsh missed that kick.

He muttered, very obviously "unbelievable".
