Not sure how I feel about this. Oakland's D was pretty bad underneath him and our D is facing an uncertain level of talent for 2018.

This would make way too much sense!

Would love to have Norton back, but I would also love not to lose Richard. Co-coordinator roles might be good, since they both bring something different to the defense.

Didn't they choose Richard over Norton when Quinn left? What changed? It's not like Richard has been a failure by any stretch.

BREAKING: I just got off the phone with Ken Norton Jr’s wife who told me her husband, Ken Norton Jr, just signed a 3 year deal to be the @Seahawks Defensive Coordinator. Not sure what this means for Kris Richard. Story developing.

I think any open minded DC is going to do well under PC. He's a defensive mastermind and can motivate his defenses well.

We would be much more aggressive I think and attack the ball and the offense instead of waiting for it to come to us. Which was the success of Quinn.

We will have to see what happens, Schotty still isn't official, until it's a signed deal all of this is just speculation still, we will hear about the new O line coach next, there are some good ones out there with all the firings as part of staffs and former HC guys.

Out of morbid curiosity, I would love to see what this team would look like if they were built to run and control the clock and crush people on the defensive front.

Wut I thought SF signed him??

My impression was he's a great leader and inspirational. Also read comments from raiders fans that Del Rio was meddling with the D and Norton couldn't do exactly what he wanted. Some D players felt that way and were pissed he got fired as a scapegoat, namely Irvin.

I don’t think I really understand this. Everything I’ve read is that the Oakland defense was a LOT better after he was fired.

I was really disappointed when Norton left because he was such a big presence as a disciplinarian and motivator of men. He complements Carroll's analytical and supportive style.

Still, I would love to keep Richard if possible. He's one of the best secondary coaches in NFL history.

Norton should have been the DC when Quinn left. I approve this message.

+1

Now if only we can find a OL coach that makes sense. I'm assuming there will be some big pressers this week?

I hope this is true.

I suggested Norton in another thread but a poster said San Fran had signed him but Seattle can somehow nab him, he belongs with Seattle.
