Secondly the cap relief and what you would receive in return would never come close to the talent you are giving up.
Third, he is coming off a significant injury, which hurts what you would get back in return even more.

You are creating a huge hole, that 11 million in cap relief won’t fill.
You’d have more of an argument if we were killing every draft like 2011-2012 and we were capable of drafting good to great offensive linemen.

At this point, would the Seahawks be better off with a 30 year old Sherman coming off a major injury or a free agent like say LG Andrew Norwell?
