Really odd time for this news to break. And no follow up tweet by him or anybody else..... hope he didnt get hacked... Crabtree also hasnt tweeted for 3 days before this one, and he's usually pretty active... very odd.

Bev seems like a good guy so I feel bad for him as a person. Change was necessary so here we go.

I have a really tough time believing he was at more fault for our offensive struggles than Cable, though.

Holy shit.

Now everyone, we know Bevell is much maligned around here, but to be fair to him we did have some very successful offensive seasons under him and he was part of the coaching staff that won the Hawks a Super Bowl. I very much respect him and do feel bad, he is a good coach. However, it was a necessary change and time for it to happen.

Three years late but better than never.

I'm not totally convinced he was the problem or wasn't a good OC, but given the offensive struggles outside of Wilson magic, and how long he's been OC, I think a bit of a shakeup will be good for both sides.

Not thrilled with possibility of Sarkisian though. I can't say I saw many Falcons games, but the reviews of his work I saw from the Falcons weren't great (granted the offense was so good the year before it was likely to regress somewhat, possibly even if they still had Shanahan).
