RT Germain Ifedi has shown steady improvement in almost every game. He acquitted himself well against the likes of Calais Campbell, Clay Matthews, and Brandon Graham. But now he faces arguably his greatest test of the season. Demarcus Lawrence leads the NFL in QB pressures with 67 (six more than Aaron Donald) and is 3rd in sacks with 13.5 (including four strip sacks). Ifedi's biggest challenge could be avoiding false starts and holding penalties. He remains #1 in the NFL in penalties.

Ifedi also leads the league in penalties. Each of the accepted penalty essentially has the same impact on the team as a sack. Discipline. Discipline. Discipline

(115 yds, 19 penalties called with 3 declined) This means he has LOST 64 fewer yards than Eddy Lacy has gained.

So for first yr tackles with the penalties like "sacks" which is fair, he still is better then most first yr tackles.

Not making excuses for the penalties but Ifedi has been the victim of some of the worst tick tacky calls all season. He also seems gets face masked and he never gets a call.

Kind of confused what makes anyone think he is getting better.

It just seems that way but in reality it's because all the other guys (OL) are getting worse.

Post stats to back up your statement.

Yep. Odd how we all see things so differently.

He may be "better", but that doesn't mean he is good. Fant needs to be the RT next season, and Ifedi can try guard again.

Even Cable has commented that Ifedi is too easily provoked. He's been on the end of a few dumb calls, but so has everyone. Ifedi isn't cutting the mustard. Maybe he makes a third-year turnaround like Carpenter and Britt did, but I would not be heartbroken if he were benched or moved back to guard.

Ifedi is turrible, simply awful!!!

There will likely be 4-5 calls against him this game. At least one will stall a drive.

Remember Coach Cable picked this player as the guy to develop. Both need to be gone.
